Using PINDA2 Probe with Mechanical Z Endstop

I decided to add a PINDA 2 probe to my SK-Go, running an SKR v1.3 with TMC2130 drivers, Marlin 2.0.7. I am not having much luck, and the online videos aren't helping.

The SK-Go has a mechanical Z endstop switch which plugs into the Z-min socket on the SKR board. I would have thought that the proper way to proceed would have been to keep the mechanical and assign the PINDA to Pin 1.24, but apparently not. I am seeing videos in which the PINDA is plugged into the Z-min socket; the mechanical z-endstop switch is apparently not used at all.

I am confused.

Does the PINDA just replace the mechanical Z-endstop switch? I wouldn't have thought so.

I need help, please.

With a probe there is zero need to keep the z-endstop as it can do the same function.

Thus 99% of people remove the z endstop when they install a probe.
