Like the title.. what does a endstop do?
does it always stops a motor from beeing running?
like:
my z_max is installed (the z axis is 10 cm) i make a print thats 11 cm .. ***wil it stop true the z_max endstop at 10 cm??****

i hope someone can help me on this question

Endstop are more to find home locations.

you home the axis till you hit then endstop and then you know that axis is at a known location

You want Software Endstops

#define MAX_SOFTWARE_ENDSTOP_Z

Which should stop Z movement at Z_MAX_POS

So i have 4 min endstops X Y Y2(own motor and independend) and Z
I would use 4 fysical endstops? And the rest software max endstop?
