Do you know if there is a marlin firmware for this.by 3eality - Controllers
Hi All, Does anyone know what board is this (attached photo). I want to update the firmware and not sure what board I have to select in Arduino. The processor on it is ATmega64A. The intent is to use it with Marlin and Pronterface. Current info I have got is it works on replicator 37. the manufacturer didnt mention what firmware they have use (This is from China, so not much information or suby 3eality - Controllers
Good to know that you are steeping closer to the supply. Look forward to see you in next catch up.by 3eality - Australia, Melbourne RUG

Tried once again - but doesn't work. What changes do I have to make in the boards.txt. The one I have done is 'atmega644.upload.protocol=arduino' is there anything else I need to change?by 3eality - General
@Repetier, Hi, Whatever I do, I am getting the error 'avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00' What is the Programmer I should select jn Arduino (Tools>Programmer). I have selected AVRISP mkII. Dineshby 3eality - General

@ Repetier, I have copied the Sanguino files and in the Arduino ide Tools>Board> there are three Sanguino boards (mega644P, mega1284P 8mhz and 1284P 16mhz) Which one do I have to select for Gen6? I have tried 644P and tried uploading. After a while I got the status update as 'upload done' in the arduino IDE but with an error. See attached file. Question: Is it correct to select sanguby 3eality - General

Hi, The extruded PLA from the nozzle is a bit rough. i.e. when i slip it between by two fingers, I can feel the surface is not smooth. What could be the possilbe cause - heat or extrusion speed. From my past reading faster extrusion leads to curling. So is it because the heat being low or high. PLA - 3mm Nozzle witdth - 0.35mm Extrusion spped 400 Heat 200 Thanksby 3eality - General
@ Gaz, I should have mentioned it clearly. 'It is a Jhead inspired design'. didnt intentd to complain - the quiality of the hot end build is great and without any doubt I am very impressed about Tom and his product quality. I am using 3mm filament Thank you all for the input. After reading your input and a post by jamesdaielv explanation on PTFE on another post, I figured out the issue.by 3eality - General
@ jamesdaniel, coincidentally I have run into this problem this evening. Pleas read my post and the photo attached http://forums.reprap.org/profile.php?1,15281]PTFE choked. The peek is retaining the heat towards the extruder end. Surprisingly when I opened the hot end, the PTTE is hollow on nozzle end.by 3eality - General

@ repetier - yes there is 1.0.1 available. However, no where it is mentioned that it will support Gen6. Does it imply that Gen6 is supported by Sanguino?by 3eality - General
Hi I have some issues with my new wade extruder. After ensuring that my extruder is working properly, I made a calibration test print on my new Wade Extruder. It was fine for a while (may be for 5mns). Just paused as the first layer of my test print didnt stick properly. When I tried to reprint, the extruder didnt seem to work. tried pushing manually but it appeared that something got choby 3eality - General
Also another check. Remove the PLA from the PTFE. normally the hobbed bolt leaves some marking. have a close look around the path of the hobbed bolt on the PLA. You should notice - one of the following: 1. Consistant gripping marks (everything is well) 2. some erratic marking with irregular intervels or Constant repeated pressure points along the path (may be missed gripping or feed rate isby 3eality - General

>roger - then a couple of good lines and then will start to blob and fart away Roger, Is there any air trapping in the hot end. may be because PLA has absorbed some moisture. As it heats up the moisture builds up the pressure and as some stage it just blow out. The other thing could be inconsistent extrusion pressure. If the PLA is pushed into the hot end with different pressures then itby 3eality - General
Roger, I did observe this phenomenon with my Kapton tape as well. I am suspecting the polyurathine coat fades away as we keep using the same surface area. I think it is better to replace it. Attahced are the instructions that I have received from 3dstuffmaker. Hope its helpful for you.by 3eality - General
Hi, let me throw my share of knowledge into this: I tried boweden on my Prusa. It is a fantastic design and has the biggest advantage of taking out the mass. However comes with a disadvantage of sensitive setting. After some frustrating time spent on it, I have not migrated to Wade. This is not for starters. Please see my post on my extruder set up issues Bowden set up issues Having said tby 3eality - General

Thanks for the pictures. If you are getting good prints with your bowden, then cheer up. I am struggling to get a consistent print. All except by bowden set up is working. However, I have learnt much from this exercise. If you set up a rolling spool for the PLA sitting right below or sideways to your extruder, then it should solve tangling.by 3eality - General
Roger, Yes! yours is a Bowden extruder, and the one sits on X carriage is Wades extruder. No hot is not referred in the contest. it is the next component to extruder. The picture on the RepRap wiki is a bit confusing as the picture shown is primarily a hot end. Technically Bowden is a good thought. It takes of the moving mass sitting on X carriage and avoids issues associated with moving massby 3eality - General
@ richgain " made of PTFE? You may have to ask the supplier" - I am waiting for the response from the supplier. However as you have described, my bowden tube doesn't seem to be PTFE. When I chopped of the end with craft knife, it took lot of effort and snapped. So i guess it is not PTFE. I will wait for the response anyway. I have checked the extruded PLA and there is no de-formation of theby 3eality - General
Think I have nailed down the problem. Below is my analysis and conclusion - a bit long but worth reading What I have done: 1. Got two PLAs (no1 purchased from 3Dstuffmaker and no2 a sample from my mate a NZ maker - will confirm the supplier) 2. Chopped the end of my extruder tube as it was worn out a bit because I have removed and inserted a lot of times 3. Tested the extrusion with both PLby 3eality - General
