It only took 2 years but my v1 hotend finally wore out enough to justify ordering a v6.by hendo420 - General
My printerboard recently stopped talking to my PC so I ordered a replacement. I installed the replacement plug for plug pin for pin. I took several pictures before hand to make sure I got everything exact. Before the old printrboard stopped communicating over USB the printer worked just fine. I plugged the 12v in and usb in and fired up pronterface. All the axises were moving but the hotend wonby hendo420 - General
I'm thinking this would make a fun project. For $99 I could set up this linux computer to slice and host my printer on the network. I'm thinking it could even be used to replace the printers board by adding some stepper drivers and whatnot. What do you guys think?by hendo420 - General

Or you can just go to the silk road or atlantis which has a feedback and escrow system and get not only fake ID's but any drug you can imagine.by hendo420 - General
I found a good one to be 3D business cards. Design your own business card, keep it small, under 10 minutes to print. And pass them out as they come off the printer. Whistles are nice too, I can print out a whistle in about 10-15minutes I finished one in 8 minutes once but it wouldn't whistle. lolby hendo420 - General
Sanjay, Sorry it took so long to get back to you I've been really busy and neglected my 3D printer for while. The new hotend you sent works great for ABS, but I'm still having jamming issues with PLA. I have disassembled and reassembled this hotend a few dozen times, following your instructions for reassembly. I have manually pushed filament through the hotend and can feel the back pressure aftby hendo420 - General
My replacement parts came in today. It was actually a full kit. I expected just metal parts. Idk if you intended it or not but I got 2x heater cartridges in the kit. Ty if you did. The fan you sent in the kit is actually weaker than the one I bought IMO but I will run the fan that you sent anyway. I have done a few small ABS prints and they turned out well. I will move to PLA next and let yby hendo420 - General

Once the moisture is out of the taulman this hotend prints it nicely. Be aware of 618's warp tendency. You may think you can just print it to blue tape but it will actually pull your tape off of your print bed.by hendo420 - General

Still waiting on metal parts from sanjay.by hendo420 - General
I downloaded the stl's of the liberator from defense distributed. The parts are really small. I scaled it up to 2000% and that seems close. but when you are making something that takes a specific sized bullet its necessary to get the scaling correct. Anyone know the exact scaling to print this at. And no, I wont be firing this with it in my hand, I'm not stupid. A pole and a 20 foot string is aby hendo420 - General
I think ive nailed printing to blue tape. I start the print with the bed at 100c then after about 5-10 layers I cut the heat to the bed. I also use a 25mm brim, I haven't tested with smaller brim yet. I had the problem with the tape pulling off, Its because the glue on the tape isnt very effective at high temps. So i get the bed hot for the first couple layers to help adhesion and prevent as mucby hendo420 - General
the green and blue filament is from justpla.com red and black from a manufacture that's about an hour away who claims its all virgin filament, not recycled. I would buy all of my filament from him but he only has 4 colors. I have natural that I don't know where it comes from. My ABS is color change from ebay, no idea of its origins.by hendo420 - General
When I pull out the filament after a jam it has a small plug at the end, maybe 2-3mm. When it jams usually any amount of force I put on the filament by hand wont make it extrude, 1 out of 10x I can give it a good push and it will start extruding again. I tried 3 different colors of PLA yesterday testing for jams, the green had to get to 250 and would jam after the first or 2nd layer. The blackby hendo420 - General
We can't print metal rods and motors at home... yet... Give it time. There is also a theory, i don't remember the name. It says once a machine can design and create its own successor, that the evolution of the machine will quickly surpass human intelligence by a huge magnitude.by hendo420 - General

Printing Opportunities: By thinking outside the box you could come up with something no one has ever done before. I believe the more people get into 3D printing the more innovation will accelerate. We are at the beginning of a new age. Like the computer age only accelerated. Challenges: The initial learning curve can be steep for some. This is where these forums shine. I have found alot of helpby hendo420 - General
Well I'm down till I take it apart. I was trying longer retracts and now its jammed inside of the heatsink somewhere. Ok, took it apart, the jam was right where the threaded part meets the heatsink, once removing the nozzle and heated block i could just push the filament out. I played with the hotend for a bit b4 i put it together and it is not geting cought in the heatsink or the heated part ofby hendo420 - General
SanjayM When it jams I always check the filament. I pull it out and its always chewed up on one side all the way down into the hotend. So its meeting resistance and then jamming. I have never caught it eating up the filament, its always after I come back and the hotend is a few inches above the part and still trying to print.by hendo420 - General

I noticed I had to raise the temp on the only pla I have put through it. J-head would do 165c this hotend i had to get it to 220c. Odd thing tho. I put nylon in it and it burns at 240c but extrudes nicely at 230c. So how can PLA and Nylon have such close extrude temps. lol Odd I can also print faster with this hotend in PLA, nylon I have to print slow -.- but I havnt hit the top end on speed yetby hendo420 - General
