They are quick to ship but have bad quality controll. The support is abysmal also. I recieved my assembled rapidbot 3.0 within 4 days of payment. It was well packed. When I got it open I noticed that half of the screws were loose. I promptly tightened all of them. The only documentation that came with it was the parts list. I had to talk with support for 4-5 hours b4 i realized that I was suposby hendo420 - General
shorter is fine as long as the heat is under controll, Ive got 2 fans on my hot end to stop jams atm.by hendo420 - General
The current PLA I have needs 225c to look good. My current speeds are 65 perimeter and 90 fill. I can go higher speeds on lower prints but if I go higher on larger prints I end up with a hot end cooling down during printing causing problems. The resistor in the hot end is 3w, its only 4.5mm, all of the resistors I have found that are possible upgrades are 5.5mm so cant find an upgrade that willby hendo420 - General
This is the printer I have. This hot end has issues, It doesnt hold temp when printing fast and It jams often. I'm looking for something I can have at my house and ready to print in under a week if possible. I've looked at the hot ends from china on ebay and they are a good price but I cant wait a month for shipping. 1.75mm filament prefered. Sugestions?by hendo420 - General
I had a leak, The first PLA I ran through this hot end was black it got in the threads when it leaked. I ran ABS Through it and the leak stoped, but I still have black pla on my threads and it sometimes gets into prints. I have tried to clean it but not having a lot of luck geting it off.by hendo420 - General
You sir are a genius. I will try this on my next print.by hendo420 - General
I bought a cricket spatula for geting prints off of my bed. I broke it today -.- The prints are sticking too well... The small stuff pops right off but large stuff I have to work it for awhile till I can get it off the bed. I would just print directly on the kapton tape but in trying to get parts off of the board im scratching my aluminum plate prety bad. I was also haveing random warping prinby hendo420 - General
I will have to test if lower infil fixes it. Could it be that my calipers are off? lol All of my PLA measures 1.6 but I dont have a 2nd pair of digital calipers to check the number. Its set in slic3r as 1.6 As for the "burning" I think that is the crystalized PLA that is under my capton tape flaking off into my print.by hendo420 - General
100% infill. Could that be the problem? Slowing it down seems to reduce the effect but even at 25mm/s I get this globbyness on angles. Is there a way to stop this from happening? Any ideas?by hendo420 - General
What I have is a 1/4 inch aluminum plate with the same resistors that are in the hot end mounted to heatsinks on each corner. They are pluged directly into the board. This is the board I have. Makemendel recomended to plug the current heated bed directly into the power supply to print ABS, again im hesitant because of having no control over the heat. Why cant the printrboard put out enough juby hendo420 - General
My printer has a 450w atx power supply. My board supports a heat bed but doesnt get the stock bed hot enough(45c -.- ) so I bought a PCB heat bed to mount to the stock bed. I dont think that my board puts out enough power to get the pcb board up to temp, the manufacture said I could hook the stock bed up directly to the power supply but I'm hesitant to do so thats why I bought the PCB board. My printer was doing so well, had a dozen small prints done and then it clogged durring a print. I stoped it and poked somethign through the extrusion hole but couldnt unclog it. I tried multiple things I read on the net and couldnt get it unclogged. So I dissasembled it. This is what I found. The PTFE tube got clogged and then the fillament pushed it into the nosel. It was stuck so I had tby hendo420 - Mechanics
My Rapidbot 3.0 Arived at 2:30 today. It was very well packaged. The first thing I noticed once I got it out of the box and did my initial check of everything b4 pluging it in was there were a bunch of loose screws. I think they hand tightned them but didnt fully tighten them, this should have been cought in quality controll -.- I spent 20 mins tightining everything. I realized it is missing aby hendo420 - Wanted
WOW, they shipped my assembled printer already. 1 day after payment. I was quoted 3-4 day lead time. They said that DHL should take 3-4 days, so I may have my printer by the weekend. Hot damn!!by hendo420 - Wanted
I checked out lulzbot.com when I was doing my shopping. $1700 is a bit pricy for me. I went ahead and ordered a Rapidbot 3.0 They said it will ship out in 4 days and take 3-4 days DHL to get here. So im expecting my printer to be here by the end of next week. Total spent $1019 and it comes assembled with 1kg of Black PLA. That includes shipping. My order number is something like 3000000005by hendo420 - Wanted
I need a printer that will work out of the box. Or as close as "out of the box" as possible. I need atleast a 8" x 8" print area and able to achieve layer thickeness of 0.1mm Preferably 1.75mm filament size. Ive been looking at quite a few 3d printers and most have a long (8-10) week lead time. I cant wait that long, im impatient. The only one I have found that would be here within 2 weeks is aby hendo420 - Wanted
I'm not exactly from "Sothern" Illinois. I'm in Jacksonville. If you dont know where that is, I'm 30 mins SW of springfield. I've been wanting to get into 3d printing for awhile now. I finally have the money to get one. I'm in the process of finding a prebuilt model with atleast an 8" x 8" print bed for under $1000 shiped with under a 2 week lead time. Once I get that and get plenty of practiceby hendo420 - RepRap Usergroup - Southern Illinois
