Also, the X axis end stop appears to be working correctly.by Stevie_j1000 - General
I am using a ramps 1.4. The connection between the dir on the stepper controller and board seems good. I've also tried several stepper controllers Im fairly new to electronics, so I'm sure sure of the exact process of probing the pin to find the fail point. Can you suggest a resouce that might contain those steps?by Stevie_j1000 - General
I thought about that. But when I connect that motor to the terminal for.a different axis it works fineby Stevie_j1000 - General
Hi, I'm running a prusa mendel with RAMPS 1.4. During a print, my x-axis started acting up amd offset mid-print. Now I no longer have DIR control on my x-axis Pos and Neg move in the same direction. I thought it was the stepper motor controller chip, but it is not I've swapped the chips into various spots. Everything else always works fine and the X axis always has this issue. Hello, I just finished building my first Prusa Mendel. So far so good. I ordered most of my components through MixShop and have had good luck so far. However I want to replace all of the crimps/plugs that connect my motors, end stops, and sensors to the ramps board. (Long story) I've checked locally at electronic shops (radioshack ect) and haven't found the crimps for the wires or the plby Stevie_j1000 - General
I swapped out both the resistor and thermistor before I posted. It still reads the same. I have not set up a heated bed yet. I have a PCB heatbed MK1. But I was going to wait to set it up until I had the hot end working. One thing at a time. I'll try to set up a thermistor on the heat bed slot on the board and see if I get a different reading. Thanks.by Stevie_j1000 - General
Hi, I am a first time builder working on a prusa mendel with RAMPS 1.4, 100k glass thermister and I uploaded marlin firmware. For some reason, when I load ponterface it reads room temperature between 100-110 degrees. When I try to heat the hot end it will heat to around 170 degrees, but that seems to be its limit. However, I do not have a laser thermometer to test what the real temp is. I hby Stevie_j1000 - General
Thanks. However, I should point out that I am very new to this level of electronics (I have a strong CAD background and am trying to get into 3d printing...). I do not see any signs of a short on the driver. What steps should I take to find/fix any shorts that might be one the driver? Thanks, Steveby Stevie_j1000 - Controllers
I am building my first Prusa Mendel, with RAMPS 1.4. I have Pololu stepper drivers. When I attach one of my drivers to the board it causes the board to shut down. This happens no matter which position I attach the driver to (X, Y, Z, or E). I can attach the USB cable to my PC and the RAMPS responds normally without the driver attached. As soon as I attach the driver to the board the LED lighby Stevie_j1000 - Controllers
