Hello, I have purchased a Chinese extruder from eBay, Please open the following link to see a picture: The problem I'm having is that whenever Im pushing a new filament in, it extrudes it perfectly but as soon as it stops and i click extrude again, it doesn't extrude even though the gear is still turning, I have played with the spring alot but still cant get it working, what do you think seems tby bardiaesm - General

Any time that I push the light time button on my "RepRapDiscount Full Graphic Smart Controller", it disappears in just 6 seconds. I wonder if I could extend the light time on my "RepRapDiscount Full Graphic Smart Controller" or whether there is any potansiometer or timer controller or .... to adjust the time on that.by bardiaesm - General
Floyd and MPower, thank you so much for your replies, i checked and i realized that i dont have any jumper caps installed. i will go head and buy them today, Thanks againby bardiaesm - General
QuoteFloyd I think for 1/16 steps you have to install all the jumpers under the motor driver chips. Did you install all 3 jumpers under the driver chips? Thank you for your reply but i dont understand what you mean, i followed everything according to ramps 1.4 catalog and google pictures, all i did was basically to insert my Pololu A4988 drivers into their place. Did i have to do anything else tby bardiaesm - General
"... are the microstep-defining jumpers set correct?" since i assembled everything according to ramps 1.4 catalog, and all the stepers are working, I think it should be correct.by bardiaesm - General
I dont know, how should i check?by bardiaesm - General
The boards im using are mega 2560 and ramps 1.4 with marlin firmware on them. After figuring out the right axis steps per unit for my 3D printer using calculator.josefprusa.cz, i have came to a conclusion that the best working number for my x and y axis is 5 instead of 80, this is so confusing and i know for sure that this is not correct since i am using 1/16 steppers and in my configuration_advby bardiaesm - General
The software i am using is Pronterface. I made my Gcode using Slic3r and i made sure to configure the max bed size on both the slic3r and Pronterface but i still get the same problem. I am also using ramps 1.4 and mega Arduino 2560 with Marlin firmware on them.by bardiaesm - General
all my stepper motors work but they don't obey the size of my table (The max position) and they continuously just go to the end of the rail without stopping when i want to print something even though i have adjusted the max size. Here is marlin code ive been using #define min_software_endstops true // If true, axis won't move to coordinates less than HOME_POS. #define max_software_endstops trueby bardiaesm - General
Thanks again vegasloki for showing me the door, and Ok, i am going to research to walk through it. first i find one problem. when i conect a 100k thermistor to T0, instead of D10, D8 gets 12v power!!!! But according to ramps 1.4, T0 is for thermistor of ext. no:1 which should be connected to D10, and T1 for bed by D9 and T2 for ext. no:2 by D8. but mine is vise versa!!! T0 is connected to D8. shby bardiaesm - General
Thanks vegasloki About the heating nozzle, yes, you are correct,it is a thermocouple, not thermistor..what kind of amp and how i should use. because i coldnt find a heating head that is matched with my extruder. the picture of my extruder is here ( ) About stepper motors, they were all moving perfectly when i was using the test code But,they would all just make a weird sound and not move whenby bardiaesm - General
Sorry but I couldn't understand what i should exactly do to get rid of these problems. The picture of the Heating nozzle is here ( )by bardiaesm - General
Thank you very much for your answer, Firstly I should say that im using those Chinese Heating nozzles which has K-Thermocouple in them. Hello, Im building my own 3D printer, I have set up everything correctly and all I need to do is to upload the firmware to my board, Im using ramps 1.4 and mega Arduino 2560. As a test I uploaded RAMPS1.4 TestCode.pde (http://reprap.org/wiki/File:RAMPS1.4_TestCode.pde) to my board and made sure everything works perfectly (all stepper motors, extruder and heat nozzle), I then went through marlinby bardiaesm - General

OK so I was printing something which was going to take around 30 hours to finish, after 1 day of printing, my power went out for 10 minutes because of the snow (I live in Atlanta....ya ikr?) anyway, i was wondering if there is anyways i can continue printing on my failed print, I know there is a way, there has to be a way...., but I can not find a clear instruction on how to do that...maybe i donby bardiaesm - General

Can you control 0.9 Nema 17 stepper motors using Marlin Firmware on ramps 1.4? I have arduino 2560 connected to my ramps 1.4 please answer as soon as possible Thank youby bardiaesm - General
I have ramps 1.4 and Arduino 2560 rev 3, everything is working correctly (I think) expect that my nozzle's thermistor isn't working, on Printrun it says that the temperture of my nozzle is 357 but nozzle is actually cold as ice What should I do? How can I check to see if my thermistor is working? (Maybe with an Ohmmeter)by bardiaesm - General
Hey guys, Im trying to connect my stepper motors to my ramps 1.4 board which got these colors of wires => Red, Yellow, Grey and Green.
