Some backstory: I purchased a RRP Mono Mendel kit about a year and a half ago. I ended up having to put my project on hold after being laid off from my job. I've since returned to working on it, new job and income in wallet, but I've hit a snag. I don't have some of the tools that the build calls for. Specifically, it calls for a 3mm drill to make the power cabling holes larger on the heat bed.by Dwarfish - General Mendel Topics
@Feign I'm totally not afraid of getting down and dirty or buying parts, but I'm not very handy, if you know what I mean. My access to special tools is limited, and I'm not very skilled at using any tools outside of wrenches and screwdrivers, anyway. The only reason I perfer a kit is that it has less tool and prep requirements and, to me at first glance, has a shorter up-and-ready build time. Iby Dwarfish - General
So, I recently took big interest in reprap, rapid prototyping and 3D modeling, but I have ~zero~ engineering background, which puts me at a bit of a loss for building and designing a reprap from complete scratch. This goes without saying I want to learn, but I want more to get printing sooner, so I'm going for a kit. I found the RepRapPro Huxley on their site and I thought it was a decent machineby Dwarfish - General
