I have purchased from filaments.ca and been happy with their products so far. Mostly PLA from their "creative series"by lokidude - General
I see the same kind of thing on my kossel mini... No Idea as to what causes it yet.by lokidude - Delta Machines
E3D v6 user here. Very happy with the hotend. No problems at all with it. Kossel mini with geared extruder. ABS / PLA / Tglase / Nylonby lokidude - General
I assume you have your belts tensioned correctly? If your belts are too floppy it will cause all sorts of issues. ( I ignored belt tensions on my kossel for a while because I thought if the belts are not skipping that is good enough but then I properly tensioned my loose belts and print quality improved 100%, no more dragging over printed lines etc) I added a set of these to my kossel to tensby lokidude - Delta Machines
Well, I adjusted the steps per mm to the calculated value and printed a 20mm test cube. x = 20.02 mm y = 20.03 mm z - 20.01 mm So I guess it worked as planned. Also, no adjustment of rod length was needed. The X and Y dimensions remained perfect, only the z dimensions changed with the change in steps per mm. Thanks DC42.by lokidude - Delta Machines
Thanks DC42, I'll give it a shot this evening and post the results here.by lokidude - Delta Machines
I'm hoping someone can advise me here. My kossel is printing well for the most part but I'm trying to figure out how to fix one last problem. If I print a 20mm cube as a test the end result measures x 20.01mm y 20.02mm z 21.75mm Steps per mm is currently set at 100 calculated based on T2 belt and 16 tooth So my question is: 1. Do I adjust steps per mm to correct this Z error? ( bonusby lokidude - Delta Machines
I had a similar experience with my kossel mini kit from makergeeks.com Joshua does respond to the issues but I had to replace my hot end with a real E3D V6, I had to replace the extruder with a geared extruder to get any useful printing etc and my review was also never posted or was removed shortly after posting. Makes me very reluctant to trust makergeeks.com in the future.by lokidude - Delta Machines
No. The one I have the effector is in two bits, and a hinge is formed by having a rod go through from one arm mount to the other on one side. The part that holds the hot end can then pivot up a little and this is detected by the optical sensor. So I uses the tip of the hot end as the z probe. I just can't find stl's anywhere for this part. I'll see if makergeeks can provide the stl files.by lokidude - Reprappers
Built a kossel mini kit from makergeeks.com and I need to re-print the effector end. I can't find the stl files to do it anywhere. It's a two part effector that hinges slightly when the hot end touches the glass and uses an optical sensor omron sx671 as the z probe for bed leveling. I can't find anywhere that has the stl files for this design. I'm hoping someone out there knows where thisby lokidude - Reprappers
