Can see in the developer notes it will retract. Expected it to just stop building pressure. Now, as long as my K is too low, shouldn't I have better results with it turned on than off ? Retract causes slower printing, I know that.by povlhp - Firmware - Marlin
Just installed Marlin 1.1.8 bugfix on thursday on my MeCreator 2. I did enable Linear Advance, and did some test patterns. Getting adhesion at 60mm/s is not always easy. So something with slower first layers, and then stacking lines would maybe be an improvement. I think I got best results around K=120+ (Bowden setup). Is there better test patterns, not at layer 1 ? But in real life printing, eby povlhp - Firmware - Marlin
Sometimes, and only sometimes, when I start a new printjob after powering on, I get a MINTEMP Triggered. Here I told printer to preheat PLA (from octoprint), and here is the last console output. No temps seems to be bd. But I get the mintemp error message. Keep having problems. M500 does not seem to store the values. Tried to send them as commands G29 S3 X1 Y1 Z0.20000 G29 S3 X2 Y1 Z-0.20000 G29 S3 X3 Y1 Z-0.05000 G29 S3 X1 Y2 Z0.25000 G29 S3 X2 Y2 Z-0.27500 G29 S3 X3 Y2 Z-0.22500 G29 S3 X1 Y3 Z0.28000 G29 S3 X2 Y3 Z-0.40000 G29 S3 X3 Y3 Z-0.45000 But still says no bed leveling data. Just another update. Used The G29 commands, and got a nice setup: Since manual with G29 works, it seems like it is the code that has problems. It is the first G29 S2 that writes "Moving..." and then dies. On a MeCreator 2, customised it to support my printer. I want to do manual bed leveling using the LCD. I have defined: PROBE_MANUALLY MESH_BED_LEVELING LCD_BED_LEVELING I have not defined any Z_MIN_PROBE... What happens is, that I get "Homing XYZ" Then it like waits. I turn the knob and is says "Click to Begin" Then "Move Z +0.200" and moves to 0,0 or so Then it says "Moving..." and is stuck fby povlhp - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
I have a GeeeTech MeCreator 2, and have moved settings to 1.1 (will contribute pin-file and configuration for the GT2560) I have one question, it is sold as a 160x160x160 printer. Old 1.0 firmware said max movement is 175x165x161. Endstops are at MAX X, MAX Y, and MIN Z) What is th most correct way to set up movement bounds ? Should I just be greedy, and decide to use the full 175x165 ? The beby povlhp - Firmware - Marlin
Nice video. I think some of what happens at 50 mm/s is, that it is priming the the nozzle (after retract), and depositing a bit too much. And it is clear at 50mm/s that the extruder can't keep up. Maybe because there nozzle is not warm enough (I have fine results to 220+C) to melt it at this speed. But this should result in noise from a skipping extruder, as the extruder is supposed to push enougby povlhp - General
Hi, Is there any way to measure max speed of components ? I assume I could use a g-code after removing hotend from extruder. But is there limits in the Marlin firmware ? How about the printhead ? is it limited by firmware ? If so, can I up the limit, move it say 20cm and time the middle 10cm (say using video, and count frames, then I have it down to 1/60th or 1/120th of a sec. I assume these vaby povlhp - General
