Whilst I agree that an exchange based system would be good, I think there far too many problems with such a system at this time. Most reprap users are involved with it because its a hobby, they are interested in making cool devices and improving their reprap. And the problem of quality control is potentially a huge can of worms! What this needs is a central body (or several) that can provide parby TheRuttmeister - General

Firstly congrats to the Makerbot guys on the MK2 Frostruder... But looking at it... am I the only one that sees a potential for an extruder that could use granular plastics? if it was a metal melt chamber, with a large air void at the top (and maybe a clever method for adding more plastic) where all the plastic was brought to melting temp... and then forced out in exactly the same way as in tby TheRuttmeister - General
