@KeithSloan I can't get FreeCAD to read OpenSCAD files under Windows 7. No way. Do you have any idea or tips about special issues with that under Windows?by RobertKuhlmann - 3D Design tools
I've tried to teach FreeCAD 0.13 to read OpenSCAD-Files und Windows 7 for three days and it still doesn't work. Is anybody out there who was successful with that? Meanwhile even the selftest of FreeCAD fails, no matter what version is installed. I configured FreeCAD as is shown in their wiki (openscadexecutable="blalblabla"), tried hundreds of different pathnames and- formats, deleted local sby RobertKuhlmann - 3D Design tools

Hello Quentin, nice to meet you in this thread. I'm waiting for the parts to be printed right now and should get them in a few days. Many other parts are on their way to me (axes, motors) or here already (electronics, aluminum-plate, bearings). I didn't select a hotend though. On one hand I'd like to start printing, as soon as possible, of course. On the other hand I'd be very interested in buby RobertKuhlmann - Polar Machines, SCARA, Robot Arms

I've redesigned the PVC-pipe-supports, so I can easily print supports for different diameters, by just changing two parameters.by RobertKuhlmann - Polar Machines, SCARA, Robot Arms
Now the heatbed is etched. Using the toner transfer method was successful and the board has 2.1Ohm: The printer parts are in production.by RobertKuhlmann - Polar Machines, SCARA, Robot Arms
I've cleaned my etching accessories that I'll use for the heatbed-etching: User:RobertKuhlmann/Etching_toolsby RobertKuhlmann - Polar Machines, SCARA, Robot Arms
This weekend I worked on the heatbed. I want to etch it myself, using the toner transfer method. I've modified the MK2a-layout, so that I can use my DIN A4 laser printer. My first approach wasn't successful, because I didn't iron enough. See the full story in my user space: User:RobertKuhlmann/Heatbed constructionby RobertKuhlmann - Polar Machines, SCARA, Robot Arms
Kein Problem.
Hello, my first 3D-printer project will be a RepRap Morgan. By the way: Thanks to anyone who offered to print the parts for me. I will document the building progress with all heights and lows. Maybe this will become a basis for a complete montage-documentation, that I'd like to contribute to the Morgan project. My first 3D-printer will be a RepRap Morgan, designed by Quentin Harley from Southafrika. I like the concept very much. After building my own I'll try to contribute to this project. RepRap Morgan Homepage The potential within this design is high, e.g. to build printers for very high parts. Another idea would be to let two (or more) Morgans cooperate on one print and so on.
