Quoterich1812 The only one I have used is Sli3r. The reason I want to do this is precisely what you said, I can have all parts on one bed and print, then go do something else, serval hours later I come back, all parts are served. If that is what you want then leave slic3r in its default setup with regard to sequential printing. This is how the program comes setup. Add all of your parts and hitby jculver09 - Reprappers
I am not that experienced with slic3r, but I have seen these options in Cura, Tools tab at the top allows you to select all at once or one for one. You then go into machine>machine settings and you can setup the geometry of your head so that it doesn't crash. I have never used it, so that's about all i have for you. I have always printed the entire sheet one slice at a time (regardless of hoby jculver09 - Reprappers
Quotemmcginnis9272 Haydn only sells rods in 288mm lengths. I asked him for shorter ones and he said he only has one jig that is set for 288mm. If his lead time is three weeks, this is new, as he shipped mine out the next day. Emailed him yesterday about this and he said that custom lengths are available up to 490mm, but they're more expensive. I also found out the lead time is because heby jculver09 - Delta Machines
Thank you mmcginnis. This answers just about every question I had about setting these up. The geometry of the effector and carriages is what I think the calculator I mentioned is missing. So you would recommend I order 200mm long rods (I am assuming this is still measured center to center on the balls). I may order them from him or make them myself because he has a 3 week lead time, it looksby jculver09 - Delta Machines
There is a calculator posted earlier in this thread (posted by vorpal on page 13). I dont think it is 100% perfect for predicting the outcome, but at first glance it seems to be close. I planned on measuring my current setup, checking it against the calculator, and using the difference I find to give me an improvement on the calculators prediction to determine if it is worth it to do the upgradedby jculver09 - Delta Machines
QuoteSnapFracturePop What speeds are you seeing on these, and what reliability once you get them up & running? Thanks, Speeds: At first I left the cura and slicer profiles provided stock so whatever speeds they are set to (i think 40mm/s) provides decent looking prints, prints that are better quality than the parts that came with the kit. I tried a couple parts at 60mm/s without issue butby jculver09 - Delta Machines
Be careful with those values it caused my machine to skip belts and go to points off the print bed. It seems that these represent the difference between the nozzle and the point where the z probe measures. So it may work for some if your end effector orientation is the same. Not sure I am new to the gcode and software stuff. The x and y settings that came with the firmware worked for me, z isby jculver09 - Delta Machines
While I have not built a large format machine myself, I have been doing a lot of reading oand it seems there is a thread every day with this subject or some variant almost every day. That being said make sure you look into the other threads First off, build cost for scale up is not linear, its much closer to exponential. Some machines more so than others. It seems that moving heated bed desiby jculver09 - General
I chose the kossel because of the stationary build platform and footprint Vs. Print space, and I would like to tinker with magnetic end effector and other potential accuracy improvements. Ordering from Folger, one thing to keep in mind is the time frame your order might arrive in. I ordered my kossel 3/5 got a shipping label printed 3/18 and it still hasn't actually left yet. I can appreciate your endeavor skynetprinter. I once made an evaporative cooler from a desk fan, a scrap of fabric, a bowl and a fountain pump. This was by no means a replacement for a whole room/house cooling system, and could not even hold a candle to the efficiency of even cheaply made manufactured units. But I had a little fan that made my desk a little bit cooler than it was before, and beby jculver09 - General
This sounds very interesting greggo, any chance you could post up a couple pictures. @3D52 I ordered my kit the first week in March. Before I did I asked about pulleys and they said it would come with 36 tooth, and that the change to 20 tooth had not happened yet (I think they are going to deplete their inventory before they change). The correct width is 7mm for these pulleys. EDIT: Forby jculver09 - Delta Machines
This video does things a little differently than the manual, but check out the instructions here: Following the manual, the instructions in the video would be followed after step 23.by jculver09 - Delta Machines
Maybe they are having difficulty with UPS. They printed my label on Wednesday and it hasn't moved either. Up until this little hiccup their service has been good. Thinking about it more, there must be some issue because what rational person would print a shipping label (an act that says "your box is packed and on the road") and then leave the box just hanging around their shop. Just check outby jculver09 - Delta Machines
