Ok here's the boards. The pro does run off of 24V. But not sure if the main board does. First two pictures are of the power board. Then there's this board which I'm assuming controls what power goes where... I'll know more tonight when I get it set up the way it was but I don't believe the power to the main board went thru this board tho, so it's almost like it's an accessory board. Then here'by advancedrescue - General
Quotethe_digital_dentist Auto switching just means that the power input to the power supply can be either 120 or 240V. It has nothing to do with the output voltage. The chamber heater runs on the line voltage, not low voltage DC. The fan that blows the air over the heater is rated for 24VDC, but would operate very quietly on a lower voltage. The CubeX machines had 15V power supplies. The powby advancedrescue - General
Couple questions. As y'all may or may not remember, I'm the one who got the parts from a cubepro. The stepper motors from both the pro and x are the same, along with most other parts. Looking at the cube parts from their site it shows different hot ends I believe but doesn't exactly give part numbers to confirm. Reason I'm asking is because I'm trying to narrow down the voltage difference ifby advancedrescue - General

DD, you use autodesk? I have it but haven't really used yet. I like tinkercad, but feel I need to try and learn autodesk for more advanced items. Your z limit mount is awesome once looking at it and using it. The slots for the zip ties that follow the curve of the rail is awesome and hope I can get to that level of cad designing. I'm almost more interested as of late in cad designing as I amby advancedrescue - General

Updates on my activety. Got the new cubex, and the stripped down cubepro. The cubepro has the boards but missing some wires. Also noticed they wired it totally different then the cubex. So far I've had to take the base off the cubex because it was slightly taller than the pro, and wouldn't align up in the pro shell. Put the steel base from the pro on the cubex. Changed out the top front cornby advancedrescue - General
QuoteDancook Quoteadvancedrescue I got one. Haven't modified it really tho. It's just as reliant on the proprietary filament as all their printers. It uses the optical sensor for z height.print quality is nice tho. Plan on keeping mine as is for now due to having a bunch of cartridges I got on the cheap, and also concentrating on building the cubex. I'd love to have one here at the office toby advancedrescue - General
QuoteDancook Quoteggherbaz Have anyone tried to do the same with a cube 3d 3rd. Generation? They are cheap on eBay and thinking on dive with one. Looks like it would be a fun little project... not sure how the print quality would be, and if they've made it as reliant on proprietary filament as our Cubex's... nothing a new controller won't cure :-) I got one. Haven't modified it really tho. Itby advancedrescue - General
Quotedc42 So it's a chamber heater. It's likely to draw a lot of current, so you may need to use a solid state relay to drive it. I presume it has an associated thermistor, which you can connect to a spare thermistor input on the electronics. RepRapFirmware on Duet supports some gcodes to control chamber heaters, see and . You can use one of these in your slicer start gcode to set the chamberby advancedrescue - General
Quotedc42 Quoteadvancedrescue Hey guys, been working on stripping the cubepro and getting the cubex ready to mount into the shell of the pro. The feet and braces are different but no problem swapping. I do have the heater that came with the pro. I'm sure it will but figured I'd ask, will I be able to configure to work with the smoothie board and the duet? As you can tell I'm not as familiarby advancedrescue - General

QuoteDancook Quoteadvancedrescue It literally appears all is there except the extruders. These guys may disagree with me, but the extruders are junk anyways... the best thing I've done so far is add my E3D Titan and v6... That's why I'm not too worried about itby advancedrescue - General
I mainly wonder if the smoothie board is what y'all would choose if the cost wasn't a factor. I'm also looking into duet after seeing it here a lot. The pro I ordered is scrictly for parts. I appears everything is there except extruders. The reseller doesn't know anything about printers so I'm going off the pictures. Just ordered a Cube Pro duo off eBay. It's in not working condition, being sold be a reseller. I emailed him asking for more info if he has any, perhaps he knows more. But either way am excited. I have been following this thread and will read back thru everything as there's plenty of great info. With all threads tho there's continual changes as it progresses.
