I have a gen 2 sanguino darwin, and the firmware all works. I can get the temp, move motors etc. The host software is almost completely not working. I can upload stl files and it acts like it's printing them. But, the motors just sit there and click, and the temperature is not right, as it sits at zero. It's not the pins, I have checked like 1000 times, it's not the g-code firmware I uploaded, bby thatguy - RepRap Host
I have a darwin with belts, but I took my motor off of it completely and it's just clicking. Sorry I'm new at this, but which specific thing in the preferences should I change?by thatguy - Controllers
Which linux are you using and are you sure you got all the java libs in?by thatguy - RepRap Host
I checked and I have it right. What's frustrating is that it was working just fine on monday, I haven't changed anything since then. I have tried different combinations of the reset button. I'm sure you aren't senile! I really don't know what to do though...by thatguy - RepRap Host
They are at the default feedrate x,y 3000 z, 50 the steps per mm are about 8 for x,y 320 for the z What should they be?by thatguy - Controllers
avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0xf0 avrdude: stk500_disable(): protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0x51 is the problem I am getting when I upload to my sangiuno board. Gen 2 electronics, windows. I am just trying to upload a test program for the pwm driver.by thatguy - RepRap Host
I have and arduino with gen 2 electronics, and when I run the firmware test the motors will move on the reprap. However, on the host software they just click back and forth, thoughts?by thatguy - Controllers
Yeah, now I feel like a fool, but it's working.by thatguy - Controllers
I have a orion hp485d power supply, and when I turn on the switch it doesn't spin the fan. I don't have a computer to test if it works. Does anyone know how to get power supplies to work even when the switch won't do it? I know a lot of ps need a little short or something to get them going.by thatguy - Controllers
the serial thing works, it will tell me the right temp. Can I run the host software without the right temp?by thatguy - RepRap Host
gcode. And I know the pin is right, I have checked in pins.h. Is there anything else it could be?by thatguy - RepRap Host
Scratch that, I can get different values but it never update the number even though in command prompt it says it is getting new temp values.by thatguy - RepRap Host
I have changed the thermistor table and the host software is still giving me the same numbers...by thatguy - RepRap Host
Now it says debug: queueRespond: attempt to queue: M105; get temperature to a non-running output buffer. [###.###s/####ms] # being a numberby thatguy - RepRap Host
I'm running the debug right now and it is trying to get a temp from the board.by thatguy - RepRap Host
And I'm using a sanguino, gen 2 electronicsby thatguy - RepRap Host
My reprap is almost done, but the temp in the host software is still wrong. The thermistor works because it gives the right temp in the firmware test (where you watch the temp in the serial window). The host software does one of three things, in linux it says, 3,4,5 but in seemingly random order and frequency. In windows it will either say 255 or 0. How do I check to see if the active high/low is set correctly?by thatguy - RepRap Host
My pin config was wrong, but it's still giving me the wrong temp. Also, I tried to move a stepper motor and it went red, is that pins again? I changed commsdebug to true but then I didn't know what to do (I'm new at this...) Also, what's trimpot? the firmware I'm using is the 1.3 is that not the latest?by thatguy - RepRap Host
I am using sanguino board with gen 2 electronics, and all my firmware tests are fine. The host software says my temp is 290, then 255 celcius whether or not my board is plugged in. When I do the firmware test on the thermistor (using the serial values and such) it gives me the right temperature. Adding to the mystery is the fact that I can move the motors around as I please, so it's not the conneby thatguy - RepRap Host
I have the same problem, but I uncommented it. Is there anything else it could be?by thatguy - RepRap Host
Well it's still not working. I used the test program: int pwm_a = 9; int pwm_b = 10; int pwm_c = 11; int i; void setup() { pinMode(pwm_a, OUTPUT); pinMode(pwm_b, OUTPUT); pinMode(pwm_c, OUTPUT); Serial.begin(9600); } void loop() { // //fade all channels up and down. // Serial.println("Fading all pwm channels up to max."); for (i=0; i<=255; i++) { analoby thatguy - Controllers
Where can I download some test programs?by thatguy - Controllers
Oh, I have both linux and windows up and trying to work, gen 2 electronics, sanguino board, and I know the usb->serial is workingby thatguy - Controllers
I have been helping a friend build a reprap machine and it is fully assembled and the software is fully installed. The firmware is uploaded properly and any test we run seems to work. The problem is nothing I do on the host software works on the actual reprap. If I turn on the cooling option, it doesn't happen. If I tell it to turn the heater on, it does weird things. For example, just on the PWMby thatguy - Controllers
