Hello. I am using 3D printing hardware to do some testing, not for 3D printing. I had to use a belt-driven z axis for speed. As you'd expect, the z axis falls when steppers are powered off. If I use a relay (or maybe a diode) to short z axis stepper coils as soon as I power down, it would really dampen the fall. So, I'm considering trying this. Any thoughts on this? I can't imagine I'm genby san_jose_rocks - Mechanics
Hello. I have searched in vain so I have to ask a dumb question about the Rumba board... I understand that I need to use a thermocouple amplifier board (AD8495, etc.) to interface with the Rumba board. I also read that I need to interface with ADC pins. However, I don't know what pins to use. I'm running Repetier on a Rumba board, and need to connect three thermocouples. Any ideas on what pinby san_jose_rocks - Controllers
