if you are sure your temperature is reading correctly i would turn the temperature up, and try again, but do it by hand , you should be able to push it through... like butter with a hot knife , is probably the best descriptionby thejollygrimreaper - General
i would be tempted to say you timing pulley is slipping i would rough up the surface of the shaft and put the timing pulley back on and tighten it right up, also i'd get those belts nice and tight (springy), i'd also be tempted to print some abd timing pulleys anf press fit those on instead, how much current are you putting into those steppers?by thejollygrimreaper - General
i'm running the model through somthing i wrote a little while ago that produces point clouds for use in openscad, i'm not sure how it's going to work out due to the complexity of it, it'll be interesting to see, i'll stil in in the processing que of herringbone gears i've already got,..by thejollygrimreaper - General
where abouts on it do you need the hole? is it a blind hole? how big? (millimetres)by thejollygrimreaper - General
i found with my black filament there was a chain of air bubbles in the filament running along the centre what was happening was the gas expands and makes your flow rate inconsistantby thejollygrimreaper - General
i might have a look at github, theres somwhere over 2000 stls to go up there, what the file size limit on thingiverse,by thejollygrimreaper - General
hi all i've got a big library of stl files i'm uploading to thingiverse, does anyone know how do go about using the upload api or another cheeky way of uploading files from say the command lineby thejollygrimreaper - General
@beekeeper, i would maybe consider writing to thingiverse, while theres nothing wrong with him putting up his own variation, however he's using your picture and the implication is that the files supplied are the drawings to what is in the picture, i believe this may be a breech of the acceptable use policy, also acording to my good lawyer friend you may be able to, if you want to take some legby thejollygrimreaper - General
we've already got those, limit switches? if you set those right your nozzle should be at the correct height every time, i got it working on my printrbot, although i have done it in a very cheeky way by putting the switch in the direction line on the z axis once it gets to the correct height above thhe table it vibrates a tiny fraction until the move is completeby thejollygrimreaper - General
perfecting the automated build table so you can run one print after another completely unattended would be nice, with the multiple print head thing, an idea on that would be to still use 1 nozzle to do the outlines but utilise multiple nozzle for the infills , if you could get more than 2 independant nozzles less than 5 mm apart on the same "head" then you have somthing to work with, skeinforgeby thejollygrimreaper - General
you could also lay the length of nichrome wire along a strip of kaptop tape the fold the tape around the wire then it won't short out may even survive rewrapping a couple of timesby thejollygrimreaper - General
bugger, looks like i'll have to modify it, why on earth was it changed in the first place, the one in the picture looks a bit more printable than the official part, and its a bit of a pain to mount the motor ontoby thejollygrimreaper - General
up until recently my printrbot will do 150mm/sec but i only run it at 32mm/sec on the 3mm filament using a 0.5mm nozzle, i also don't use any temperature control in my extruder however somthing went terribly wrong with one of the industrial stepper i was using the the arduino uno is now deadby thejollygrimreaper - General
hi all, has anyone got the stl for the x motormount as shown in the picture surely somone has to have it, unless it has not been released and it was just the V2 parts?by thejollygrimreaper - General
