I'm opening a webshop by the end of this week. I'm starting off by supplying electronics kits, pcbs, fully assembled parts, cat5e cables etc. I'll announce the site opening on the forum as soon as it's ready, but if all goes well it should be by the end of this week. P.S. I'm in belgium, so shipping is much easier and cheaper than having to get your stuff from the states, for example.by Matthew - Finnish RepRap User Group
You don't have to look any further than Belgium. I've just got mt stock of stepper V2.3 pcbs and opto endstop V2.1 boards. The motherboards and extruder pcbs are stuck in customs at the moment (they're from makerbot and i think they didn't fill in the customs slip properly or something) The steppers and optos I had made up myself from a pcb house. I'll announce my site at the end of this week (eaby Matthew - Denmark RepRap User Group

How does one sign up to be eligible for the prize? Do we have to document our work and have it reviewed to stay in the running? Cab we jut pitch up in 2011 with our finished product and say, here it is? so many questions...by Matthew - Kartik M. Gada Humanitarian Innovation Prize

I thought they'd see it the same way, but I understand that they have their business plan. I was just testing different possibilities in the beginning. I'm still kind of hoping that they'll want to join forces later on anyway to keep the dream alive! I went as independent as possible, so didn't get that much stuff from them, mostly PCBs. I am also having some pcbs made up independently. I also oby Matthew - Reprappers
I recently approached makerbot to become a distributor of their stuff here in Europe, but they said that they weren't ready for that yet. So, I decided to go ahead without them and start up my own shop. Should be up and running next weekby Matthew - Reprappers
what functionality does an LCD screen give? Is your device standalone, that would be cool, but is a small LCD practical?by Matthew - Reprappers
They're not exactly zero profit (they would cost 8,2 pounds if they were), but I agree with spacexula anyway and would rather you sold them with a little something on the side, even if it just means that your board is free for you. Selling things with very thin margins makes it difficult for people to start distributing this stuff more readily and easily (unless you live in the states and haveby Matthew - Reprappers
Hi Khiraly, I've just ordered a lot of stepper V2.3 pcbs from a pcb house and they should be here in 2-3 weeks. I live in Belgium, so shipping to europe is cheaper for me than from the US. Besides, Makerbot doesn't seem to be offering stepper 2.3 boards any more (which is why i did the bulk order in the first place). The boards would cost about 4euro each and you don't need to buy 100 to get thaby Matthew - For Sale
What kind of power supply do you need to power a makerbot reprap? I mean, I know an ATX PSU with a 12V output (24pin) is ideal, but how many watts does it need to be? Could we power things with, a laptop battery charger, for example, instead?by Matthew - Controllers
Hi guys, Any ideas what the advantages and disadvantages are of a 3.3V USB to TTL cable over a 5V USB to TTL cable, specifically for use with the motherboard V1.2? Thanks...by Matthew - Controllers
Hi Josh, I've just ordered a lot of stepper V2.3 boards (and opto endstop v2.1) and the components for them (reprap setup and makerbot setup). The boards have a 2 week lead time, so my guess is that they'll be in around the 2nd week of February. I could definitely send some kits your way (just boards or boards and components etc.) My webshop should be up in running in 2 weeks and the stepper DIby Matthew - Controllers

any idea on the name of the supplier from china? or is this a secret...by Matthew - For Sale
Where do you live? I can get a PIC16F648A-E/P for you, is this sufficient (only difference seems to be that it has a higher temperature tolerance than the one specified by parts.reprap.)by Matthew - Controllers
Hi Anton, Seeing that you're in Europe, I thought I'd let you know that I have got some pcbs and components coming in to be able to build up some motherboard V1.2, Extruder V2.2, stepper V2.3 and opto enstop V2.1. I should have some completed motherboards and extruders within 2 weeks and the stepper and opto endstops within 4 weeks (The pcbs for the steppers and endstops are taking a little longby Matthew - Reprappers

I'm starting up a webshop to supply people here in belgium and in europe. It'll probably be another 2 weeks before it's up and running with electronics kits for motherboards and extruders, and a week or to after that i'll have stepper drivers and opto endstops. All these will be offered in kit and in fully assembled form. I'll announce the shop opening, once it happens, but let me know if you neby Matthew - For Sale
I want to get some of the boards made up by a pcb house, but there is obviously q setup charge for each board. The opto endstop boards are so small it's hardly not worth getting them made unless I order like 200. So, I was thinking of putting them on one board together with a stepper controller board and getting them made together under one setup cost. My idea, to reduce total area, is to put 3by Matthew - Controllers
