Quotejarango3d Hi guys. I´m interested in cnc fimanent winding machine, but with polar winding. The design fro this topic is similar to www.xbinder.com. The machine for polar winding must be have almost 3 axes, but my problem is that the machines with 3 axes run in linuxcnc, and i not have experience with that. MIndfab says that he use marlin modified (firmware). I believe that the design for thby mindfab - CNC Routers, Mills, and Hybrid RepRapping
Quotefnibble Hi. Very interested in filament winding. How do you start the software process, ie what does the ruby script do, and what inputs does it need. I am not familiar with g-code, what's it like to work with? Long time ago but maybe you are still interested in. My current toolchain looks like that. CAM Software/GCode Compiler is a ruby script that just generates some X,Y movements (sliby mindfab - CNC Routers, Mills, and Hybrid RepRapping
Hi, I sell a set (consisting of 6 pieces) precision rods for a Prusa/Mendel. The rods are made out of steel (Cf53) and have a hardened surface!!! Set: 2 * precision rod round 8mm, Toleranz h6 in Cf53, hardened, length 420mm (x-axis) 2 * precision rod round 8mm, Toleranz h6 in Cf53, hardened, length 405mm (y-axis) 2 * precision rod round 8mm, Toleranz h6 in Cf53, hardened, lengthby mindfab - Vitamin Kit for Sale
Which firmware do you use ? In Marlin it was possible to switch off/adapt the Max/MinTemp check - however, I won't recommend this in production. Btw. you might also want to try the patched repg 5d version - cheersby mindfab - Delta Machines
Hi Martin, thx for sharing your ideas ... I'm also very interested in having a method of building molds in a fast and accurate way for model RC planes and other stuff. Have you already that idea? cheers robert martinprice2004 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Sorry to raise an old post, but thinking it > through further there may be a way to produce >by mindfab - Let's design something! Hei Martin, interessting process, haven't seen that before. I have attached some images of the tube from the latest video... Right now, my plans are to do some conical winding, to measure the resin/fibre ratio and to use vacuum after the winding process...by mindfab - CNC Routers, Mills, and Hybrid RepRapping

Hi Dale, thx - well, my plan was to use the wounded tubes as structures for model airplanes. But actually its more the machine and the process itself ... Hey guys, I made a filament winding machine for carbon/glass fiber. The machine has been 3D printed, the electronic is self-made runs with a modified Marlin firmware (to support rotation axis). I started a wiki page (which is not yet up-to-date - ) but I would like to share some fotos and videos ( ) to get some feedback. The updates to the wiki will follow sooner or later. Hi, which version of ReplicatorG did you use? Really the old 0024 ? There's a special version for ReplicatorG 0034 5D. This version has been patched that it works with 5D firmwares. You can find the version on Cheers,by mindfab - RepRap Host
Hi, in case the issue is still there - I made a patched version of ReplicatorG a while ago. You can find it at ready to use for download. I tested that version on Gen7 electronics with Teacup firmware, but I know that it is also working with other electronics and firmwares (as long as its 5D). Cheers,by mindfab - RepRap Host

Thx for trying out the new functions... Its interesting to see how the different settings work... I have also tryed oozebane, but I couldn't get it going with my stepper based extruder... Could it be that oozebane was for DC motor based extruders and doesn't work right for stepper based? Maybe someone with a working oozebane setup can help us out? Thx...by mindfab - Skeinforge
I was also refering to the skeinforge calibration... Maybe you can try another skeinforge generator (you can select it in the menu) ... You could also try creating a new profile... Normally (if the printer itself is calibrated) it should at least print something out which doesn't look too awefull This way you could try out older skeinforge generators, but newer than 4.0) or also try out the lateby mindfab - Skeinforge

thx for the hint ... the version you got is unmodified and old... I didn't know that there have been some compiled versions in the repository... I will clean that up and put some precompiled versions into the repository ... give me a second (or more) ...by mindfab - Skeinforge

Hi, I've added a fix for the build time estimation ... Feel free to get the new version from github... Btw. I had a look at the issue with the fan, the old fan code has been commented out due to a rewrite ... Might be that I'll fix that also... Cheers,by mindfab - Skeinforge
