Thanks, sorry to say that I tried all that but, unfortunately it's still not accepting it.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Yes I have done that and it's now fine, but I am now being told the it can't compile to the board, I have tried several different cables, four boards and two computers, all the same result. I think I will leave it as is the only problem it is giving me is it runs of the plate one side when I try to do a bed level.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
I am not really customizing it, the only thing I have changed is the bed size, so that is the only thing I needed to update, but there are so many different versions of Marlin out there, it's hard to find an original, they all have settings that I do not need and I do not know where to look to get rid of them. Apart from the bed size everything is working OKby erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Dust, No I am not sure of anything here, just kind of fishing in the dark. But I will give that a go. Thanks. It's weird, I have tried 4 different versions, and have seen nothing but errors, isn't there an easier program out there for us dummies.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Thanks again Dust, that worked but there seems to be more needed. The board does have Keyes Base v1.4 printed on it, probably a Chinese clone, but it is Ramps compatible. The drivers are your normal pololu drivers. I have Marlin loaded on it,came with the original Kit, but now I am rebuilding it I need to make changes but do not have the original file. These are the settings I entered. // The siby erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Thank you Dust. that fixed that problem, now we have another. #error "DIGIPOT_MCP4018 requires DIGIPOTS_I2C_SDA_* pins to be defined.". where does that happen. ......by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Thanks, but that does not seem to be the problem. I downloaded another version of Marlin, and still get errors. I enter the board name, and it then tells me, #error unknown Motherboard value in configuration.h This what I entered .#ifndef MOTHERBOARD #define BOARD_RAMPS_13_EFB 33 What on earth is wrong with it, I copied and pasted it from board.hby erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi All, I know there are advocates of both out there but which is the easiest to set up. I have Marlin on at the moment but I need to do some updates on it, but when I try to load it , I am getting so many errors, that I don't understand, so wondering if Repertier will work for me.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Got a replacement for the Mosfet module, working real good now. Thanks allby erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
our welcome, one good turn deserves anotherby erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
I had a similar problem with my MK3 heated bed even with using 4mm glass, the glass bent with the clips. So I put thin fiber washers between bed and glass, worked fineby erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Looks as though your are correct Clif, adjusted the driver and things are working fine thank you both for your help.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Thanks for the reply. Yes both are connected in parallel to one driver. Not sure how you adjust the voltage for two motorsby erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi, When raising the Z axis I notice that one side is lifting faster than the other, is there a way I can fix this. Any help would be appreciated. thanks.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Thanks, that's how I have them connected. Is it possible to have them use separate drivers, is there any advantage in that.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi, this is probably a dumb question. How do you connect the motors in paralell?by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
When I am ready I will PM you.by erniehatt - Firmware - Marlin
Hang in there Mate. I am sure things will come good eventually. I am still in the process of rebuilding my printer, waiting for bits and pieces to arrive from China, when it all comes I am sure we can work it together..by erniehatt - Firmware - Marlin
Tell me about it, someone once said life was not meant to be easy, why do they always have to be right. This is not making me feel to confident about trying to set mine up. . Have a look at this it may helpby erniehatt - Firmware - Marlin
As far as centring the bed goes, I have always set this in the slicing program, where you set the bed size there is usually a setting for bed centre. Concerning the probe, ones that I used before, you set the offset in marlin bed levelling section, then adjust it in the control program. you can always throw it my wayby erniehatt - Firmware - Marlin
Looks as though I got a dud, wasn't sure if I had damaged the controller or not, so change every thing back to normal, just using 12v supply and it worked, although be it very slow. From all of this I would say its a dud mosfet. should receive the SSR shortly, will see how that goes.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi Guys, The mosfet unit arrived today, connected it up, and wow, what a difference, it reach 60c in about 2 minutes. But then things changed for the worse, it did not stop heating at the set figure, it just kept going until I turned of the power. It started to heat up when powered up. Also it still was heating while disconnected from the controller board. Any ideas what is going on.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Thanks, for the comeback Pal, the one I have is called 3D Touch. I am in the middle of a rebuild at the moment so can't look into it , but as soon as I have things going will do so and post back on it. In the mean time , if you have any success, please let me know.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi anyone have any experience with the touch bed leveller.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Thanks, now that you showed me this, I had a look around and found many.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
This heater bed only has 2 pads, all other beds I have ever seen are the same, never seen one with three.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
So far I am just using a single 12v 30amp supply for everything, have the 24v 20 amp but I am waiting for a mosfet module and a SSR, then will decide which to use. The board I am using is a Keyes mrk gen 1.4, it only has one input for voltage it will accept 12 or 24v.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Have finally got the printer doing it's job quite nicely, even though I still have the heating problem, hopefully this will be corrected nce I have a few extra bits. I would like to thank those here on the forum that have been of great help. Ernieby erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
I now have some better figures on how long it takes to reach 50 degrees, it is 12 minutes, far to long.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
