Any idea when this should be available for sale?by c3opti - General
I have been trying to improve the qualities of my prints, but I have run up against a few issue continuously one of which you can see in the picture. Most of the times it is just a little glob at the corners but sometimes it is a string of filament that hangs out. The other issue is on prints I the y-axis will shift randomly usually 1/4 + of the way through the print I have tried adjusting theby c3opti - General Mendel Topics
I had only been printing with pla and no heated bed since I built my printer but recently decided to install the heated bed. The problem was when I tried to heat it during the print it could not heat with the hotend. The heated bed would heat up and maintain its heat but the hotend would not heat at all when the heat bed was increasing in temperature and while it was mantaining temperature it wby c3opti - General
I have been working on getting my printer up and running and I have finally had some success. The prints are very poor quality, usually around 2mm up on the z-axis it begins to drift to one side, but only sometimes. I have (semi) successfully printed an iphone case, a bracelet and 2 20mm cubes, but recently when I go to print other things it start to drift to one side until 3-4 layers later itby c3opti - General Mendel Topics
Please excuse my ignorance I am pretty new to this whole thing, but what would the command be for Sprinter? Also where would you change that in the firmware?by c3opti - General Mendel Topics
I was able to get it to print by increasing the temperature of the hotend and by increasing the speed of the print a little. The test cube I made came out okay, but does anyone know of any good guides to calibrate and or where I should start.by c3opti - General Mendel Topics
What exactly do I have to change? I couldn't find anything else on the forum for what settings to change.by c3opti - General Mendel Topics
I recently received my Trinity Labs metal magma hot end in the mail and it has a .4mm nozzle. I have been trying to get it to work for and I am having issues with it jamming, several times I have started a print and by halfway through the first layer the temperature has dropped of between 10-15 degrees causing it to stop extruding. I tried wrapping the heat barrel in kapton, but that did not heby c3opti - General Mendel Topics
I finally got my hotend working, but now as I go to print a 20mm calibration cube the layers get all messed up. The first layer prints fine and then between layers 2-4 the subsequent layer "moves" to the left making it so that only about half of the the 2nd layer is overlapping the first. It usually does this shift every couple of layers just getting further and further to the left. I am usingby c3opti - General Mendel Topics
I accidentally had contact between the thermistor and resistor wires on my ramps 1.4 board for the hot end. I know that that damages the board and it has prevented these two connections from working. I switched the pin settings in the firmware so I can still make it work, but I was wondering if anyone knows of any way to fix this issue so that I can add a second extruder and/or a heated bed?by c3opti - General Mendel Topics
I know I need to use a fan for my hot-end to help prevent the barrel from pushing out of the ptfe and PLA from jamming. The problem is where should the fan be aimed? I set up the hot-end and tried to aim a fan at the PTFE but it still felt fairly warm to the touch, and the hot-end would not heat above 140 degrees. I know it can heat up more than that because when the fan is not on I can easily hby c3opti - General Mendel Topics
I am using a 100k thermistor and all the sudden today it started reading 0 degrees in pronter face. I have no idea why and I checked all the connections and they where fine. I am using sprinter firmware and RAMPS 1.4. wby c3opti - General Mendel Topics
I was able to fix the stuttering in the motor by going back over the driver with the soldering iron again!by c3opti - General Mendel Topics
So I put the same stepper driver on the z-axis and connected the two motors and it turn properly still had jerky movements but it spun all the way. Then I checked to make sure it wasn't the motor. And when I tried it on the y-axis the same tremoring occurred as on the x-axis. I tried turning the pot to increase power and the power supply wouldn't start, but as soon as I turned it back it workeby c3opti - General Mendel Topics
I was able to check and see that the xmin endstops were being automatically triggered, but I have no idea how to fix it. The firmware is the default Marlin all I changed was the motherboard settings. Also if I click x+ in pronterface the motor "tremors" it moves about 2 degrees and then back again.by c3opti - General Mendel Topics
What do you mean by opened and closed?by c3opti - General Mendel Topics
I tried entering the gcode command you specified and nothing was returned in pronterface. Attached is a picture of how I wired the endstops, are they correct? The end not shown is wired into the RAMPS board with a molex connector. Also I have not changed anything in the firmware related to the endstops because I didn't not know which parts to change. Thanks for your help.by c3opti - General Mendel Topics
I am building a prusa mendel and I have gotten the motors and everything all wired. I am using a RAMPS 1.4 board and mechanical endstops and installed Marlin firmware. I tried to move they x, y, and z axis motors with pronterface and nothing happened, but I was able to successfully heat up the hot end and get the extruder to move, but I could not manage to make the axis motors move.
