The i3 is a lot more easy to build and set up, the makerfarm kit is pretty good value, and assembly is straight forward even for the beginner, it prints good quality prints but its true that it isnt the most rigid machine out there, so you wont be printing lightning fast, but for the normal user its a great compromise between price and quality, if you throw in some extra dollars and get a alu fraby Hårball - Reprappers
Actually it does a whole lot of difference to the bed temperature and especially warping of abs parts, without a fan my bed goes to 120c within 10-12 minutes. with the fan it took about 15-20 minutes to reach 110c, if the room was cold i would never reach 110c at all, i just dont see the point running the fan when my hotend never clog up, i've heard many people struggling with clogging even withby Hårball - General Mendel Topics
I recently built this machine over the course of two nights, great bang for the buck i must say, initially i had warping problems due to the fan on the magma hotend, i also would not get the bed up to 110 degrees due to the same fan, so i decided to turn it off, and it worked like a charm, i now have about 10 hours printing time without it and have not had th hotend clogged up even once, i'm runnby Hårball - General Mendel Topics
