Hi, I already had that problem in the past. It happened to be as simple a setting my extrusion ratio to 0.9 (or 90%). The problem occurred exclusively with pla. This is because the slicer(slic3r, cura, ect) calutate with the density of abs plastic or something like that. But even if I asked it to extrude 100mm and it extruded 100mm, it would overextrude with lower layer height. Tough, I do not exby Davachat - General Mendel Topics
Yes, Exactly this. But if you have an issue like the backlight power only when plugged i usb and the ramps stop working whe disconecting usb or LCD really dimm, then you were using a mega clone(like most of us RepRapers) , you fried the ams1117 Voltage regulator on the arduino mega. In this case, they are two solution, 1: supply 5v to your ramps and mega via the vcc pin on the raps and the 5v fby Davachat - Reprappers
In fact, It's ida the same thing ;-) But the pont here is the mesured(real net weight) and not the estimated(raw calculated weight). But those slicer(slic3r, cura(my favourite for the moment with kisslicer) give it to you in gramm too. But the real problem here is that abs is lighter than pla, so it wont give you an accurate number, ad actually, 3 gramm per meter is still a rought estimate too.by Davachat - General Mendel Topics
In fact, we can't really answer this question because everybody does print part differntly... I mean some will set two perimeter, other 3-4 to make part more robust. Some will go fo 100% infill to be sure part will last longer(they will, but....) other prefer 35% infill. Personnaly, I make my reprap parts with a 40% to 45% infill(100% for extruder gear and groove mount) with 3 perimeter. I do theby Davachat - General Mendel Topics
