I have this Geeetech Prusa I3 Pro B since a few months. Overall I am happy about the machine since it did its job this far. It required the usual modifications to the Z carriage to fix Z-axis artifact, and I had to repair the pin that keeps the bearing pushing the filament against the motor wheel, other than that I can't complain about the machine, and print quality. I have used about half a rolby Gumbo - Prusa i3 and variants
I have had the exact same issue on my MK8 plastic extruder, which seems to be the same you have on your printer. The problem turned out to be the pin that holds the bearing pushing the filament against the wheel on motor shaft. It was broken. I temporarily solved the problem: - turning a metal pin out of an M3 screw (i have a lathe but you can just a chop off an M3 screw at the right lenght) - drby Gumbo - Prusa i3 and variants
I have a problem with prints longer than a few minutes, as the printer stops the print job and disconnects from repetier host. After doing some research on the forums I have tried the following: - Replacing the USB cable - Printing off the SD card - Checking the G-code - Connecting the printer to a UPS Nothing solved the problem. When the problem happens, the printer seems to reset, as the LCDby Gumbo - Prusa i3 and variants
Here's the wiring diagram of my printer. The port marked as PWM-FAN is where the part cooling fan is to be connected - and where i did connect it. I connected all the three wires. I can control the fan from the repetier host manual interface - on off and % - and I guess no problems with the firmware or Gcode either as it starts right when the axis move on to start the print job, so it is recoby Gumbo - Prusa i3 and variants
I have installed a filament cooler fan with duct. The fan I used is a common 60mm computer fan, three wires, +, - and signal. It was connected to the PWM fan socket on my 2560 board (BTW the wiring diagram that comes with my geeetech I3 pro B is inverted so + goes up and signal goes down...). It works fine and I can control the fan speed from repetier host, however very little air is pushed outby Gumbo - Prusa i3 and variants
Well after printing some objects that came out perfectly scale I finally opened up the test cubes in sketchup to measure them and they turned to be smaller than what they were claimed to be. Now, I dont have a clue why one would want to upload a test cube of 18mm claiming it to be 20, other than fooling anyone who downloads and use it for its intended use - i.e. test printing. Stupid joke.by Gumbo - Prusa i3 and variants
Looking on the internet I have found this tutorial which seems to be as "empirical" as effective. How about going this way instead of with the calculator ?by Gumbo - Prusa i3 and variants
I have recently purchased a Geetech I3 Pro B printer. After playing a little with the slicer configurations, temperature etc. to get the first layer to stick to the bed, I managed printing out test parts of good quality and overall I am happy about the printer. However I have a problem with the test pieces being printed out of scale. The test cube I am printing is supposed to be 20mm but it turnsby Gumbo - Prusa i3 and variants
I am assembling a Geeetech Prusa I3 Pro B that I recently purchased. I have a problem making the Y axis parallel to the X axis. The Y axis was assembled correctly and square. The problem is in the acrylic supports of the x axis. The problem seems to be in the laser cuts of the acrylic being badly out of square (the cuts are not perpendicular to the surface of the parts) so when they are assembleby Gumbo - General Mendel Topics
