Hi, I am not a software or controls engineer and I am trying to map the process involved in developing a 3D printer from grounds up. I am not looking for a tutorial but rather development road map and keywords used along the way. - What are the keywords used to develop the machine controls, firmware, and how would it interface with the 3D printing software. - What are the software/controls skby vortexflow2010 - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
Hi, I just finished building a Prusa and I am trying to interface it with a Gen 4 electronics. I got the axis to move but the axis are not moving the programmed distance using replicatorG. - Can anybody please tell me what is the best software and firmware to use with a Gen 4 electronics on a prusa. - Is there any specific configurations for the software that is needed to be programmed in orby vortexflow2010 - General Mendel Topics

Hello, I am in the process of building my first reprap printer (an SAE prusa). So far I think I have a good idea on how to proceed with the hardware part. - I am thinking about using the gen 4 electronics from makerbot but I do not know if its the best option out there. - My questions are the following: - Any body have a preference on what motherboard to use and why? - where do I get the reby vortexflow2010 - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Thanks for reply - So there is a way to input such parameters in the firmware. I assume that this could be used to adjust for any gearing issues in case I deviated from the original design? Is there any firmware parameters that control the extruder feed rate ?by vortexflow2010 - General Mendel Topics
Hi, I am trying to build a reprap printer and I need to understand some technical issues before I start. - I am trying to understand the mechanics of the software and the hardware relation in the prusa. - As we all know there is two types of prusa ( metric and SAE). - my question is the following: since the SAE and metric differ in the thread pitch which means the two produce different linear moby vortexflow2010 - General Mendel Topics
