I have a Mendel90 from nophead with a Melzi board. Since this printer is most of the time remote controlled, I want to install a killswitch incase the filament is gone (empty, broken). Only I'm new to arduino and I cannot get the pinmapping right.
I use the implentation as in the latest github from Erik Zalm / Marlin.
In setup the pin is set as input and high.

Maybe your start.gcode is written in an invalid format. I would suggest to upload it so we can have a look. Unrelated example, repetier host does like spaces between the command and argurments, otherwise it will send G0 instead of G1X5Y70Z0.6

the information you have available is pretty limited, but did you check the file extension? Otherwise check the settings in the export tab of skeinforge.

But what is the reason the website is down? Is the development by the orginal maker of skeinforge completely stopped? that would be a pity.

I really like your variant of the cool plugin. But I missed one setting and therefore I modified it a bit.
Now it is possible to set the maximum fan speed. In my case all the settings were as desired but full fan speed was just too much.
Futhermore i changed the layout to have the priorities of the fan settings clear.

Maybe i don't fully understand your problem, but it looks to me that your printer isn't calibrated properly. I suggest to do the thin wall calibration test and fine tune your retraction settings. The first layer can be printed slower to increase adhesion to the bed, i don't see why slower travel (without extrusion) will help.

1) Yes this can be set in the Speed tab, under Object first layer settings. Lower the multiplier settings for your first layer and it will be slower. Another option against warping is playing with your temperatures or make use of a raft.
2) I don't know about an option of changing the skirt. I use some custom code at the start to make a blob on the edge of the bed to make sure the extruder start

Nophead,
Thank you very much. I put all the values to 1 now and the results look much better.
I assume that the base flow rate multiplierr is also involved in this.
Flow rate * first layer flow rate multiplier * base flow rate multiplier.

I attached screenshots with my settings.
Is there anything else which can make such a difference in e values? Maybe i completely overlook things.

I put both feedrate and flowrate on the default value of 16.
In Dimension i have the following settings:
filament diameter: 2.95
Filament packing density: 1.14
If i slice the 20mm cube i get the Gcode below.
The first part must familiar for Nophead, but an extrusion of 31.88mm for only the skirt is maybe to much.

G1 Z0.05

thanks for you response
@ahmetcemturan, I am aware of that, therefore i manually typed over my settings like filament diameter, filement packing density and speed.
@ nophead: I use absolute extrusion, but i get values as below, and yes i have a lot of extrusion, thats the problem :
G1 X-11.52 Y10.116 Z0.36 F759.0155 E2.6173
G1 X-10.08 Y10.116 Z0.36 F759.0155 E2.8036

I used SFACT with great succes, my mendel90 was delivering nice prints.
Yesterday i tried to switch over to skeinforge50, so i carefully set all the settings (by hand) from SFACT to skeinforge50. It all looks fine, exept that the extrunsion is way to much. E values of 4 seen, where i expect values around E0.2.
Is there some setting i completely overlooked? Or needs skeinforge50 a complete recali

My prints have some stringing if i do a oozebane test. I noticed that the Gcode generated by SFACT V2.1 11.08.11 is always is E-0.0
