Hello. Much appreciated. I haven't seen Rostock mini carriage for magnetic rods.

Hello. Thanks for the tips. Nimble looks interesting. Another reason why I'm looking for direct drive option is Retract. It does not work properly with bowden (mine at least). Technically it works but there is always some tension in tube wich affects to object while extract happens. I believe direct drive is a way to improve many things in my delta.
I'm also changing ABS platform to aluminium one

3mm Bowden tube makes the platform of my Rostock mini to twist. It is making bed leveling very difficult. Looking for direct drive extruder/hotend combo, but there aren't many (for obvious reasons). Does anyone else using direct drive with delta?
I am able to calibrate bed by using probe which is directly under the nozzle but it is manual task. It eliminates the affection of twisting. However I r

Solution: fix memory violation in saved position subroutine. That probably causes many kinds of G30 issues (depending on which variables happens to be located after the array in question)

I added buffer level checking in planner subroutine. There is a function available. It monitors planner buffer in 1000ms cycles and records the lowest buffer level. These results are transmitted to host when mcu has spare time to do that (tried to avoid mcu load as much possible).
In my test print segments per second did not actually help much. By increasing planner buffer to 64 human noticeable

Evaluated the latest Test branch Marlin by Rich Cattell. Weird things happen in G30 A. G29 probes the bed OK. Also the first iteration of G30 A probes bed around the probing points OK. But... the after the second iteration all probing points happen at MIN_X position (Y varies). Checked bed and min/max parameters many times. And these must be somewhat correct because G29 and the first run of G30 A

I made buffer logging and yes, buffer level hits to bottom pretty easily on arc moves. Even without LCD or SD. When it is human noticeable (stuttering) the situation is very bad. Some help can obtain by tweaking parameters but 8-bit Atmel is just too slow for delta calculations (when there are lot of arc moves). Increasing buffer I can get rid of the worst stuttering but in log I can see underrun

Yep. I consider matrix LCD the only option for delta controller with 8-bit Atmel. If even that one is possible.

Yep, exactly. I've been tweaking "segments per second" value, but I like to move on to have actual facts. Also determine how much LCD actually affects to this. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one...

Firmware - Marlin
Hello,
Trying to debug my delta and trying to understand what is causing occasionally stuttering. Is there a way to detect line buffer underrun in SW? I can occasionally notice stuttering-like behavior while shelling circles. Don't know if the source for that is the part itself, slicing or buffer underrun. I suspect buffer underrun because in some layer shelling run does not stutter.
Also I'm cu

It is possible to set infill speed for bottom separately but not for top layer. Unfortunately it is exactly what I would like to have. On bottom layers I have overfilling but on top layer there are tiny holes. I can do several workarounds but the most convenient way would be separated the top layer speed.

Annoying problem which sometimes occurs during printing: board starts to send responds in wrong baud rate (as far as I can tell). All commands are executed in Marlin but nothing comes back to Pronterface.
First I thought MCU is defected so I replaced it. Then I replaced resonator to xtal. After that replaced FFT chip. Problem continues. I added cooling fan. No help.
Anyone else experiences of t

I couldn't locate filament folder on this forum, so I post this question to General. I'm sure there are lot of discussions about filaments somewhere in this forum...
Orbi-tech does not offer much technical information about their products so I'm asking what kind of temperature/speed settings do you use for PLA 90? I'm currently testing different settings and temperatures between 190 and 220.

I noticed a weird result when I tried to use brim: when I compare brim layer finishing it is pretty much perfect. It is better than the bottom or top layer suftace of the actual item. There are very little brim settings in 14.03: Number of brim lines. I assume it uses exactly the same setting than bottom layer printing in general. I mean speed, flow etc.
But... what makes brim surface som much b

For bed leveling purposes is it possible to offset X/Y/Z axis positions? There are commands for coordinate offseting, but how to offset endstop coordinates in delta machine?
thanks,

Testing Rostock Mini and noticed that axis only moves by 0.2mm steps. I'm using Pronterface 0.1mm manual move and stepper motor moves only every second click. The distance itself is correct as well as steps per mm.
There are 44.444 moves per 1 mm so the accuracy should be 0.0225 mm per one step.
Since pronterface sends an exact G-command to move 0.1mm, this must be Marlin issue.

Hello,
When Sanguinololu is attached to PC (USB cable) everything works perfectly. When I connect external 12V power supply everything is still fine. Finally I can disconnect USB cable and Sanguinololu keeps on working.
But... I have LCD+SD card and I like to to use printer standalone. When USB cable is not connected and I switch external power supply on Sanguinololu does not work. I can see bo
