Hello, everyone! My club has a bunch of MakerBot Replicator 2s that have started to break down. We've been trying to figure out how to convert them to open source electronics, software, and an E3D HotEnd so we can service them better. I was hoping to use Marlin with them, but as far as I understand it Marlin doesn't work with the Mightyboards currently installed in them. That's fine, we'll getby Memnarch1113 - Firmware - Marlin
Are you a spam bot? Or are you just crazy? Can you download the repaired model, or do you have to then buy it from shapeways?by Memnarch1113 - 3D Design tools
Heya folks, Is there any program that can detect parts of an stl that are too thin to print and thicken them accordingly? I ask because I know that Photoshop can do this, but I haven't found any way to export the fixed stl (you're forced instead to use its slicer which is very limiting.) I had thought that Netfabb could do this kind of repair, but I recently started playing with the private versiby Memnarch1113 - 3D Design tools
Very interesting! Thanks for your input. Do you have a particular fan in mind? Could you link it? That tip about paper is interesting, I'll look into it. In the mean time, is there a preferred fan design that has the best airflow? I figure I could adapt it to any of my printers, but I don't want to re-invent the wheel. One other question: you mentioned plugging the fans into the D9. Not all of mby Memnarch1113 - General
Hey there reprappers! I'm just starting my adventure in 3D printing with a bunch of different printers that my club owns. I'm working on setting up active cooling for all of them (we mostly print in PLA), and I'm looking for an appropriate fan to do the job. We've got printers that take 12V fans, as well as a few that take 24V fans. Do you guys have favorites for active cooling fans? Once I haveby Memnarch1113 - General
Hi there Rep Rappers, I've got a bit of an odd problem. My 3D printing club at my college has a Deltamaker printer, which obviously uses a delta system. I'm not sure if it uses rep-rap, but I figured that you guys are probably the most helpful people around who know what they're talking about. Here's the issue: The printer's prints are tilted. Everything that we print is a little crooked in oneby Memnarch1113 - Delta Machines
