i did some tinkering and got it to work! uncommented this in my config.h file. and changed my number of extruders from 1 to 2. and changed my mother board to 34 EEB from 33 EFB // Parameters for all extruder heaters #define THERMAL_RUNAWAY_PROTECTION_PERIOD 40 //in seconds #define THERMAL_RUNAWAY_PROTECTION_HYSTERESIS 4 // in degree Celsius it registers just fine and works like a champ!by k3vbot3000 - Developers
yea sorry im new. caps lock was stuck on my laptop. desktop doesn't have that issue. not yelling. lolby k3vbot3000 - Printing
i attached my configuration.h file. i just open it in notepad ++ to get it to appear correctly also..is there a better way to post it on here so EVERYONE can see it normally? thank youby k3vbot3000 - Developers
connect your printer to your host and type in g-code M119 that will show the status of your endstops and if they are triggered or not if it isnt being triggered when you home that axis, the head will crash. if M119 shows that endstop isnt being triggered check to see if there are broken wires from your endstop to your board.by k3vbot3000 - Printing
i posted something similar to this in another section but i wanted to be more to the point to try and get an answer. thank you to anyone in that other post that helped, it got me a little closer lol im using marlin 1.0.2 for my printer that i build. it is just a standard cartesian printer not a delta or anything odd. i have dual extruders but for testing purposes i got the printer 100% workingby k3vbot3000 - Printing
OK, SO I UPGRADED TO MARLIN 1.0.2 AND CHANGED EVERYTHING IN IT TO GET MY PRINTER WORKING. IT ALL WORKS AGAIN WITH THE UPGRADED FW BUT THE SECOND THAT I TRY TO CHANGED NUMBER OF EXTRUDERS TO 2, IT DOES NOT COMPILE. IT POPS UP WITH AN ERROR THAT SAYS THIS BELOW....AND AFTER I MADE ALL OF MY CHANGES TO SPECIFY MY PRINTER IN CONFIGURATION.H THE ONLY THING I CHANGED WAS MY BOARD TYPE TO **#define BOARby k3vbot3000 - Developers
I cant figure out what my marlin FW is doing wrong. i have everything set up with my custom printer and everything works and it prints like a boss. but when i added my dual extruder in the FW it gives me an error compiling and says heater_1_pin not defined or something like that. in configuration.h i changed number of extruders from 1 to 2 and in pins.h under the section reserved for the ramps 1.by k3vbot3000 - Developers
