I am also using the windows version. What do you use to look at the code. Is it a java complier? I have always wanted to dig into RepG.. I think that with me running RAMPS 1.4 with Marlin RC2, RepG does not give me the screen where I can make changes to the motherboard and toolhead. They might have something in there that is not turned on that I cannot get to.by Axim2012 - Skeinforge
I am also having the same issue. I am going from rep 26 to rep 33 and everything works great... except the control panel. I can't get a temp on the HBP or the Extruder tip. I am looking everywhere for where the issue could be. crazytiti Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Hello, > (sorry to post in skeinforge but there's no folder > about replicatorG) >by Axim2012 - Skeinforge

Thanks... I will give that a try. Worked great. Thanks for the tip..by Axim2012 - Skeinforge
I used to do this all the time with a DC motor using gen3 electronics and makerbot firmware 3.0. I would heat the head, extrude to prime the tip, Home, then turn on the motor with a M101 Extruder on, fwd command and a speed command of M108 S255 extruder speed. I have been unsuccessful with my Stepper motor. It seems when the extruder is turning it wont go to the next command. I want to print aby Axim2012 - Skeinforge
Might have found it. I am not sure this is the only one. Going to try it out. Comb basically tells skeinforge to not let the extruder move outside the perimeter if it can avoid it. This makes a HUGE difference (in a good way) in cleanup times but does add to the total print time. Unless you’re really, REALLY interested in the quickest print you can get, just leave it enabled.by Axim2012 - Skeinforge
I used to know this setting and now have forgotten. I want the print head to stay over the area it is printing on. I don't want the head to take "shortcuts" I want it to stay away from the open spaces that it is not printing on. Lets say I am printing out a cylinder. I don't want the middle to have strings from it cutting across. Thanks.by Axim2012 - Skeinforge
After much tinkering I was able to get a good print using 1/16 step for the Z using the following below. 20x20x10 Calibration block is dead on 20mm x 20mm x 10mm... #define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {79,79,8500/1.25,1380} I still would like to use the Machine.xml for these adjustments if anyone knows how to bypass these settings. I am using 1/16 step for my X and Y with great success. I am however having issues with my Z running 1/16 step. What should I be using for my Z. Do I want to compensate for a 1/16 or use a 1/8.. Will I get the same layer detail using 1/16 vs 1/8. Also I like how fast the Z-up is using 1/8. Here are the options. jumper Yes/No step size 1 2 3 no no no full step yes no noby Axim2012 - RAMPS Electronics
I am using ReplicatorG26 with RAMPS 1.4 using Marlin firmware. 1.0.0.0 It seems that the Marlin firmware is not looking at my machine.xml file for the geometry information. Marlin is however using the .xml file for everything else. I would like for it to look at my machine.xml file for my stepspermm, so I cam make changes on the fly without having to do it from the firmware. I beleive it is onby Axim2012 - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
Ok that worked. Thanks. I was aware of the TEMP_RESIDENCY_TIME . In another forum everyone was turning it off, so I did the same. They were saying it was causing them issues by creating a mess by waiting so long. So with commenting it out it causes issues with M109.. I can now print without preheating the tip past 220c... I guess the best action here is to adjust the wait time and not to commenby Axim2012 - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
DO NOT comment this out. I just learned that if you comment this out your printer will no longer start printing when you reach temp. The best thing to do here is just change the seconds. #define TEMP_RESIDENCY_TIME 30 // (seconds) Just change the seconds if you want the wait to be shorter or longer.by Axim2012 - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
I have a strange issue. I am using ReplicatorG26 with RAMPS 1.4 using Marlin firmware. 1.0.0.0 It seems that M109 is having issues. When the temperature reaches my set temp for M109 it displays in red a bunch of temperatures with the last one being the temp I want with an "ok" after it. The only way I can get it to print is to heat the head to 225c that is 5c past my temperatureture of 220c.by Axim2012 - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
Thanks. It was a great help to look yours over. Is there a way to toggle the Unknown on and off. I am getting the following info on ReplicatorG when in control panel and when booting up. [12:48:08] Unknown: x:0.00y:0.00z:0.00e:0.00 count x:0.00y:0.00z:0.00 [12:48:09] Unknown: x:0.00y:0.00z:0.00e:0.00 count x:0.00y:0.00z:0.00 [12:48:10] Unknown: x:0.00y:0.00z:0.00e:0.00 count x:0.00y:0.00z:0.00by Axim2012 - General
Anyone have a configuration.h I can take a look at? I am having issues with my Bed Thermistors showing up in Replicatorg 26 I am running Sprinter with no issues except it shows Unknown: x:0.00y:0.00z:0.00e:0.00 when I am in control panel, so I know the thermistors are ok. I am running: RAMPS 1.4 Thermistors ReplicatorG 26 Thanksby Axim2012 - General

ReplicatorG 26 RAMPS 1.4 Firmware: Sprinter The only issue I am having is when I enter control panel I get the following: Unknown: x:0.00y:0.00z:0.00e:0.00 It's not a show stopper, but it is annoying. Does anyone know how to remove it? Thanksby Axim2012 - RAMPS Electronics
