I'm waiting for a new version too... First of all I'm very happy to be able to use a free slicer but I spent so many hours in testing and trying that it would really be nice to get a bug-free version: especially bugs that have been solved on previous versions. (I don't mind about the wasted filament - that's not a big expense...) On the actual version (0.9.10b) there is an old and already solvvon Irgendwer_Aus_Irgendwo - Slic3r

Hi, When slicing with e.g. fill every 2nd layer I do not get an infill at EVERY bottom or top layer - was this changed from somewhere 0.9.8 to 0.9.9 ? Even if I enter 3 bottom layers I still do get 2 bottom layers as one will be skipped due to the "infill every n" setting In short words: in my eyes the "infill every n layers" should not affect filling the top and bottom layers!von Irgendwer_Aus_Irgendwo - Slic3r
Hi, My prints are really great, but when it comes to a e.g. 90 degree turn the quality of my prints are really worse (please see attached pictures) Is there anything I can improve in my firmware or at my Slic3r setting!? So my prints were fine for a while BUT: I changed the settings for retraction now several times - reduced and increased retraction (0,5-3mm), speed (3-30mm/s) and pressure of the hinge (with the ball bearing) but every few hours of printing the extruder is not able to force the filament through the nozzle and rubs a groove so that the printer is running without extruding material The temperatvon Irgendwer_Aus_Irgendwo - Slic3r
Printed the parts with a much higher retraction length and: SOLVED! Now I have only small blobs left which do not cause any problem - will slightly tune the values (retraction speed to 10mm/s, try to reduce length) and see what happens.von Irgendwer_Aus_Irgendwo - Slic3r
Thanks - also thought about that. But when I have to print parts with a high volume I have to print with at least 50mm/s (perimeter and infill) - if I also let slic3r fill every second layer my extruder is not able to melt my 3mm ABS properly to press all melted ABS out of my 0.42mm nozzle. ...so I tend not to reduce the temperature of my extrudervon Irgendwer_Aus_Irgendwo - Slic3r
My printed parts are really good, the perimeters stick together; I nearly do not get any bending of my parts BUT: I always get those filament lines when the machine is traveling from part to part - those lines can be cleaned easily on the outside but if you're printing a thread as I did it's not useable.
