when shit hits the fan..... the cube was printed in the center, but itlooks more then fer then a cube ;-) the filament was blocked. the forth time on this new roll!!!! attached is also a photo with a nice print.von neptunier - Mendel90
i forgot, i used kisslicer. bed center x 100 y 100, printer size 200 by 200.von neptunier - Mendel90
i checked all the endstops, they are working and sending the l or h respond with m119. g28 is part of the start code. i printed out the small 20mm box for calibration and that was beautiful. then i was trying to print a lithophane from makerbot about 6cm by 6cm, stl model is okay, and somehow the printer was printing the model in the left front corner instead of in the middle. i was trying 3 timevon neptunier - Mendel90
hi all, my mendel90 is giving me a hard time. i tried to print the bedleveling software, kisslcer and cura, both have problems with steps i think. somewhere in the print the x position with kisslicer and the y position with cura changes, see attached pictures. what goes wrong there? thanks, michaelvon neptunier - Mendel90
thanks, that was it. now there in synchrony, i mean i can see it now ;-)von neptunier - Mendel90
yes, the couplers are not slipping. i rescrewed them again and they are tight. i oiled again the threaded rods. again i calibrated. get the noozle evenly over the bed on the rear right and leftside. then went 10mm up, after that the motors are blocked. then i turned the flags in their position towards the rods. then homed z axis. after that there is already a difference between the flags, after ovon neptunier - Mendel90
thanks for your suggestions, yesterday i did another print and it worked fine. i raised bed temperature to 70°. with the prints before there was very good adhesion to the glass. but still i have the problem with the synchrony of the z axes. the threaded rods are slightly out of synch. anybody any suggestion? thanks, michaelvon neptunier - Mendel90
this foto just shows the first two or three layers and they are wrinkled, somehow no real connection to the bed. therefore they dont stick. i wonder if it comes from being out of calibrartion because of this synchrony error or maybe something different. i cleaned the bed before printing thoroughly with aceton, i tried two times, two times same result. michaelvon neptunier - Mendel90
hello, last week i got my new mendel90. i really enjoyed putting it together, it is a very nice kit. some weeks before i assembled ikea furniture and with many details you could see how they just want to make everything cheap and max profit, regardless of durability and function. so it was just a pleasure to have exactly the opposite from a very small company, thanks nophead! however i still havvon neptunier - Mendel90
thanks, i found it. i did not calibrate because i bought a used calibrated one.von neptunier - General Mendel Topics
hello, i want to try cura on the mendelmax. one problem i have is that in the preferences of cura i have to type in the "steps per E" in the mendelmax firmware repetier i can only find " #define STEPS_PER_ROTATION 400" is that the one i have to use and how can i calculate the stepa per mm. that is what the cura wants. thanks, michaelvon neptunier - General Mendel Topics
thanks for the info, now it works. michaelvon neptunier - Mendel90
hi all, i am building a mendel 90 but have a very hard time opening the main.scad i have no experience with python and open scad. can anyone give a short idiot proof explanation of that: To view the model of the whole machine, open scad\main.scad. It will take several minutes to render (about about 8 minutes on my computer) but after that you can pan and zoom it at reasonable speed and changesvon neptunier - Mendel90
