Hi jaxonday,
The information I found was quoted in the Configuration.h file in Marlin, I just had to read the relevent section and make the changes, I too, was unable to find any instructions anywhere, so I just tried different things until I figured it out. I am happy to help you if I am able but please remember that I am a newbie at this. What LCD do you have, is it the Full Graphic LCD Contro

Based on your readings 1 and 2 go to ground via the FET or relay and 3 and 4 go to +12. If your readings are right - that's a very low power silicone heater.
Hi uncle_bob,
This is taking the readings/measurement from the wires connected to the heated mat, it's not connected to the RAMPS yet, I wasn't sure which way the 4 wires were suppose to be connected to the power from the RA

Hi Dust,
I have checked the resistance with a digital multimeter (set to Ohms) and come up with these readings:
Resistance between 1&2 = 0Ω,
Resistance between 1&3 fluctuates around 1Ω
Resistance between 1&4 fluctuates around 1.1Ω
Resistance between 2&3 fluctuates around 1.1Ω
Resistance between 2&4 fluctuates around 1.3Ω
Resistance between 3&4 fluctuates between 0 - 0.5Ω

Hi All,
I am about 95% done on building my MendelMax 1.5 and now need to wire up my Heated Bed. This is a flexible 12v silicone mat which has 6 wires coming out of it, two of the wires (black) are the Thermistor and the other four wires are for the heating element(s), the problem is all of these wires are red and there is no indication as to how they relate to each other, from what I can gather

Problem solved!!
For anyone else who stumbles upon the error I listed above, I just changed these lines in the Configuration.h file
#define ULTRA_LCD
#ifdef DOGLCD // Change number of lines to match the DOG graphic display
#define LCD_WIDTH 128 //( I changed this from 20 - Glenn)
#define LCD_HEIGHT 64 // (I changed this from 5 - Glenn)
Yeah, yeah, I know... it actually tells you

Hi All,
I'm a newbie to the 3D printer world and have been slowly building my MendelMax 1.5. I am hoping someone on here can help me out with Marlin as I'm a bit out of my depth.
The problem is with getting the (RepRapDiscount) Full Graphic Smart Controller to be recognised, I have followed the instructions found here on the forum by installing u8glib as mentioned and I have uncommented the LCD

Hi Cefiar,
Thank you very much for your suggestion, to be honest I have never heard of them before but it sounds like a great idea

Glenn

Hi all,
I'm a newbie to the world of 3D printers, I purchased a MendelMax 1.5 kit way back in July, the mob in America where I purchased it from forgot to put a lot of the parts in the kit so as time went by I contacted them on a number of occasions and they sent the parts out along with small gifts of parts as recompense for their mistakes. Anyway... to cut a long story short, I am about 90% do
