Does anybody offer a translucent white or green plastic material for printing. Basically, I'm trying to make indicator lights with 3d printed parts. Thanks!

Look for a plastic i can use to print knobs and panels which can be backlit to be transilluminated. Does anything exist is a 3mm filament?

I have a part I want to print as one print, however it has a mating pin in holes (Basically a hinge). Is this possible to print in one go, or do I need to break it up?

Something I learned in the Army was, "Don't bitch about a problem, unless you can provide a viable solution to said problem."
I think we covered the bitching about the problem enough. How to fix it?

One thing it address this is a little logbook I've made. It contains the name of the print, the unique print number (Basically a unique id number) and the main parameters of the machine. (Temps, material, etc.) I don't have my printer yet, but this will help me track and diagnose when I have problems, and establish best printing practices specifically for my machine.

I would love to see more on this, maybe we need a post-printing finishing page on the wiki?

Basically would love to use the built in 3dPrint function in SolidWorks, but it requires drivers. Do these drivers exist for reprap, specifically the MendelMAX?

Hey all. I'm saving my pennies for a MendelMAX. I do have a question though...Some of the items I will be prototyping will be very much like a toothbrush handle - curved, no flat areas, finger grooves, etc.
How would I go about printing something like that on the MendelMAX printer? Breakaway support structures?

Attention Kit manufacturer...I'm looking to trade my services as a Designer/Drafter and Web Developer for a MendelMAX kit with everything I need to start printing. Need a store to sell your products, or another type of site? Not a problem. Check out my portfolio at: http://www.40mmdesign.com.

I appreciate your response NelsonRap. As far as accuracy goes, I was sort of hoping for a hardish number, such as 12 microns or .12 mm on Z, and .4 on X and Y axis...it really makes a difference in my evaluation for the sort of models my clients want.
Glad to hear it is easily exportable from SolidWorks. Makes my life much much easier. I am in the process of building a 3d scanning station from

I am a SolidWorks CAD guy for the day job, and recently have been moonlighting and taking on some minor work on the side. I can really see this as being a huge step forward for my side work...not only providing drawings and virtual models to clients, but providing a physical prototype or model of a part that the client can hold in their hands or use for marketing purposes.
As such, I am trying t
