It just suddenly worked for some reason. Strange.

Can anyone recommend a slicer that /does/ work in the command line?
Okay, I'm trying out v1.0.1 now. If any version's command line would work, I'm hoping it'd be this one.
Nope, still doesn't work. Still sends the extruder off the bed. However, it's pretty neat how v1.0.1 walks through the steps the slic3r takes to create g-code.
I'm starting to think that the command line options only worked

According to this thread at , the solution is to downgrade to v1.1.7. Geez, I knew there had to be one time when the 'print-center' command line option worked otherwise, why would it be there in the first place?
Edit: Apparently v.1.1.7 doesn't work - still outputs the same erroneous X,Y positions that send my extruder off the bed. Furthermore, slic3r-console doesn't work at all suggesting I ha

I'm trying to create my gcode files using Slic3r via the command line, but I noticed that my printer would print off the sides. It appears, looking at the g-code, that slic3r is totally ignoring the bed center positions in my '.ini' file (But it's getting everything else in the .ini file right), and I tried using the " --print-center 115,75" command line option, but it produced the exact same wro

Got some etched teflon, I'll see if I can epoxy it to a flat, extremely adhering surface like some kind of 6" wide piece of flat wood, maybe.
Etched teflon seems to allow the use of common epoxies and glues on the etched side.
Still trying to figure out a solution for my printrbot, I'm getting both teflon and a heated bed to determine the best way to go about this. For my makergear, I'm stickin

Good news! ABS Juice on a nonheated Teflon surface works PERFECTLY, just like Kapton! Unfortunately, it seems like this "strongest 3M adhesive ever" doesn't seem to keep the teflon attached to the polycarb bed like it should, but it's still reasonably straight as at least it doesn't bend upward nearly as much as the Kapton tape did.
My reasoning for suspecting teflon should work was along these

So, I tried spray-paint plastic primer on aluminum bed. No dice.
Then I tried clear gloss on aluminum bed. No dice.
Then I tried ABS juice on Kapton tape, ontop of aluminum bed. It worked but the part still curled upward and the kapton just lifted from the bed to accomodate its shrinking. Interesting. It seems that it works by evenly distributing the ABS juice, being heat resistant (keeps plastic

I looked up this spray (Plastik 70) since I can't find in the USA, and it appears to consist of "acrylic resins". It seems that high gloss clear acrylic paint of the spray variety should accomplish the same job, will try tomorrow. My ABS juice worked to an extent (ABS juice is recommended on another forum, though I believe it's usually with a heated bed, something I'm trying to avoid), but was on
