@dc42: Hi David, thanks for your answer ... mobile communications has sometimes its "flaws" :=)
Modifying the firmware is on thing ... (maybe a patch might be a good thing).
BUT: Before changing anything in the firmware I need to know which pins are usable (what are the pin numbers, what pins can be used (functions) and their corresponding locations on the board). Here I do not have any informa

Hi All,
This is a great idea and very simple.
At this point I wonder if there is some pin table/layout plan for Duet available (pin numbering; pin usage). I want to connect a small external servo to my Ormerod; I do not only want to use it for a z-Probe but for a "homemade" application. I tried to contact dc-42 if there is a way to actually connect it - however the answer was quite short and d

@Cavlyinx: I am looking for "switch" solutions for the Ormerod. You mentioned, that there are options on thingiverse: However have you found a good alternative for the X and especially the Z switch (or better: to replace the Z Sensor). Thanks.

Dear all,
yes, I got it resolved. Thanks to the great support from RepRap Pro. I received a new Duet (I had to send the damaged one bag). It was clearly a problem of the Duet.

I do not know which is the correct way but rotating it 180° solved it. BUT I must say, that the Z sensor might be too much away to properly work - I never got the sensor really working. I think only dc42's sensor is the answer.

Dear all,
I honestly must say I am embarrassed (or was it really my fault?):
1) I changed the bearing holding my x carriage to a 623. No my nozzle is almost perpendicular to the print surface
2) After having done that my carriage actually hit the bed before the nozzle touched the bed ...
3) I took the carriage apart and turned the nozzle holder piece by 180 degrees (upside down). This lifted th

Hi,
thanks for your answer. It was the stock RepRap Pro carriage print that was delivered when I bought the Ormerod MII V3 ... ok. I will reprint the part. Then I will look to set the angle correctly. The bed is leveled with a dial gauge. It seems ok, but the problem is the 3 point (instead of 4 points)
No I do not use auto level bed compensation.
I use the MDF spacer.

Attached some images of the problem:
This is a printed (assembled) part that failed (the wheels have not been completed) -> On the lower part you see the lines on the surface that was caused by the two corners indicated in the second picture.
Thanks.

Hi,
I try to answer your questions - I can not provide images so far (I angrily ripped off the pieces after 6h of printing and 95% progress....)
1) No the carriage sits tightly on the linear bearings
2) Looking from the front the nozzle does not have a 90° angle to the arm and printbed ... it is maybe 80-85°. This can be probably resolved by a new bearing. But manually moving the arm does not r

Dear all,
I know that this is a common problem with the Ormerod 2. However, I experience with bigger prints, that the Z-Probe starts to "crash" into the print this leads to small "blobs" that increases the problem until the printer looses a step and continues to print into thin air.
This is annoying
I took the z-probe away and manually homed X and Z ... and the problem continous to exist. Thi

Hi Dave,
I will try to contact first RepRap Pro. I have the stromg feeling that it is hardware fault. Before I start to solder I want to check if there is another solution.
I will keep you updated.
Thanks.
Chris.

Thanks for your help.
I will try to answer your questions:
- "Normal" LAN cable (No Crossover).
- My Network is connected with a WLAN router and a switch. I can connect other computers to the switch.
- I am using the current "original" RepRap 1.09 Firmware
I tried using a fixed IP BUT the problem is, that there is NO light at the Ethernet port itself. Also when I plug in the cable my router is

Dear all,
My Ormerod works flawlessly. However, whenever I try to connect an Ethernet cable there is NO green (or orange) light - tried different cables and setups (e.g. also the working cable from my Desktop Computer).
Is there a way to activate the ethernet power (jumper or firmware settings) or do I have to contact the vendor for warranty claim (this is annoying since I have everything else

Thanks!
I would highly appreciate if you could send a picture showing WHERE you connected the fan(s) to the Duet!

Can I flash the html file?
I have a bin file? I downloaded the whole zip?

Hmmm,
When I erase and reset the board it is ttyACM0
Bossac: Basic Open Source SAM-BA Application (BOSSA) Version 1.3a
After flashing there is NO assignment of device to the Duet: There is only "USB disconnect".
When I flash the regular RepRap firmware the "normal" ttyACM0 device is mounted.
What more infos do you need.

Hello,
I tried to flash your new firmware:
Flashing was successful. However, afterwards the Duet is not recognized at any port?
This is true for Linux as well as Windows. Is there any suggestions on the bossac parameters:
sudo hardware/tools/bossac -e -w -v -b RepRapFirmware-1.09e-dc42.bin
Thanks.

Hi guys,
it might be a wobbly table ... I noticed that the screws are not 100% attached. Will test that. Thanks

Thanks a lot. Will do so.
They are connected with the KF2510 connectors (and corresponding pins on the board). Any suggestions on the wire gauge when splitting?
Best,
Chris.

Hi everyone,
maybe this has already bee asked - but I cannot find the answer to my specific printing problem.
My printer: Ormerod 2
The problem: Ripples at a specific X-axis region.
As you can see from the attached picture. it seems like the ripple occurs at a very specfic X-Axis position (there is a linear area across the y-Axis). If I print multiple objects side by side the ripple always o

Dear all,
this might be a trivial question. I want to connect my new "Chinese" hotend to my Ormerod 2 (Duet V0.6). My currently installed original heater cartridge cable is "splitted" into 2 V+ and 2 GND cables that connect to 2 pins on the duet, respectively.
My question: Do I need to "split" also the cables for the new heating cartdrige (12V 40W) or can I only use "one" connector pin on the D

Hi Sven,
sorry, for not responding - was out for business
I have bought that one:
I did not receive it so far (ordered like 3 weeks ago) and I am more than happy to test your setup! I was already working on some holder - but always doing double/triple work is also annoying.

Hi denshine,
also bought one of these. Now I see you have a double fan setup: Could you please direct me to a link where I can find the according stl files?
Thanks for your help.
Best,
Chris.
