How much " mid air " are we talking about ? These proximity sensors turn on within 2-4 milimeter.

Hi.
I have read a few topics about this problem but none of them had a clear solution on fixing this.
So i try to print with my pruisa i3 marlin 1.1.0rc2 ramps1.4 but any print i try to start, the on the first layer on one side of the print the head is too close to the bed, and on the other side its too far.
It worked for like 3 or four prints, but it stopped working, i tried mesh bed leveling

when X offset was -72 the printhead tried to go over the maximum on the X axis when the G29 started, later i changed it to positive value and it started working as intended.

Hello Guys.
Im fairly new to 3d printing, i started to learn it about a week ago, because one of my friend has a pruisa i3 and i asked him to print me a model. It turns out, he cant print anymore since his bed is unbalanced, and we couldn't level it manually, the modells kept failing at the first 2-3 layer.
So i dug into how to do the auto leveling process.
