Hi everyone!
I have a Ramps 1.4 And arduino mega with LCD screen. the Ramos board is only going to control three steppers for a cnc machine. I was wondering if I could just plug my 12v power supply into the arduino to power the ramps and steppers? Instead of cutting the end off my power supply and plugging into the ramps input terminals.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi everyone!
I'm printing a 20mm x 20mm calibration cube. What would cause the corners to bulge out? Attached is a crude example. I'm using a e3d v6 clone, 1000 acceleration, 15 jerk (did try other settings). Using slicer via repetier host.
Thanks,
Mark

Thanks Paul!
Issue looks like it's gone. After adjusting the extrusions width manually it was still there slightly. Once I brought down the overlap percentage (set it to 12% instead of default 15%) did the trick.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the replies,
I did as Paul suggested and printed the cube 45 degrees. The issue still showed up. I'm seeing a difference when manually adjusting layer thickness instead of letting slic3r calculate it. Still fine tuning to see if I can get rid of it completely.

Thanks for the reply James!
I'm printing at 30/mms. This is driving me crazy. Maybe I'll try dropping it down to 15/mms to see if I can spot it.

Also I bumped down my acceleration to 800 from 1000 and jerk to 10 from 20 with no improvement.

Hi everyone,
I'm having an issue I can't track down. Not sure is it's a rippling/ghosting issue or layer shift. Printing a 20x20x20mm calibration cube. Once it starts printing the X right after it I get this effect. Doesn't look like the typical rippling/ghosting as it makes those layers stick out further. I attached a video I slowed down to show movement. I checked my belts/ tightened, pulleys o

I wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm in Camden county. I'm getting ready to purchase a Prusa i3 and wanting to build and xycore 24" x 24" print area.
Any other fellow member in this area?
