Thanks for the info Myndale,
Its seems to be running well again so I'm pretty sure something got in and it could have been Debris being dragged into the extruder by the plastic which I hadn't considered before. I have my printer inside the house so its in a pretty clean environment but having said that anything is possible.
I really like the idea of having something that cleans the plastic befo

I've found I need to have tension on ABS a lot higher than I do when printing PLA. I find I always need to crack up tension when changing to ABS. Once the Bobble bolts teeth clog up no amount of adjustments will get the dam thing to work again lol
I've done about 40 hours of printing since clearing the nozzle and all is looking good

I have a feeling my problem may have been a contaminant or something like that blocked the head. The solution is to remove it and clean it up best you can and then poke it clean with something. You will need to heat it up. Having said that you should be able to find something to fit the .5 head. The .35 was a real pain but I managed to clean it up and get it going again. I also plan on buying a

Thanks Auzze, I tried that but no luck at all. It actually happened half way through a print so I assume something go into the head and blocked it. My printer has been printing 8-10 hours a day for the last few weeks without any issues at all . . man this is frustrating. The worse part is I'm half way through my second custom build reprap and I'm without print capability
In any case frustration

I've been pretty much printing the last couple of months with out an major issues. However today half way through a print the it looked like the extrude had stopped extruding. At first I noticed it was slipping so I clean up the bolt etc Mind you I've never had it slip since using Auzze's Hobbed bolt which I got a month or so before christmas. In any case it turns out the problem doesn't appear

Thanks for the info. Looks like it should do the trick as I mainly use only a few temperatures. My second board is a Gen 6 and doesn't support heat bead control, so this could be a good solution. Thanks again

What a fantastic read! I'll need to read this one a number of times Rich . . as I did with the other 2 parts. Most of my printing has been at .2mm at this stage.

Just wondering if anyone could tell me what the G Code is for Extruder Retract. When Slic3r finishes a print it drops a thin strip of extrusion as it the head moves away from the part. I'm thinking a retract when it finishes should do the trick ??

Just wondering how people control the heatbed temperature when using a board that doesn't support Heatbed temp control? Any thoughts and insight would be much appreciated.

Thanks that's helpful big time. I actually want to design my own version as I'm after something much bigger than the standard Prusa. I need to get my hands on this and then start designing based around this.

Triffid_Hunter, so are you saying you don't need to account for variation in your modelling to acheive correct hole sizing? I've only just download Slic3r and am very happy with the one model I printed so far. Look dam impressive.

Has anyone got any thoughts on this board or feedback etc they would like to share. I've been thinking of getting this one as an alternative to the Gen6 Board.

Not a waste of time at all. I ended up buying mine from ebay. There wasn't much difference in price between 5 and 10 so I ended up buying 10 of them. So I should be able to build a second Printer depending on how my first one goes. Good Luck
