Discovered this when slicing an object with column supports (like supports generated by B9 software.)
I had used "0" for fill density to generate a hollow print. Looking at single layer visualization of slic3r output in Repetier Host I found that the support columns were placed over hollow spots in the support feet. For any non-zero fill density (even something like 0.0000001) the hollow spots

I think the driver runs out of memory. You should not underestimate the ram requirements for large files.
Totally agree! Thanks for the tip on Simple visualization- I forgot that was available. For anyone else looking for it, the menu chain is: Config>3D View Configuration>Filament>Filament Visualization

I had a similar problem with .95f hanging/crashing on relatively large files (around 30MB ). They sliced okay (much faster than .9c, where I first ran into the problem) but Repetier went nonresponsive while generating the sliced visual. Like previous posters I got errors related to reading/writing protected memory and OpenTK. Also like an earlier poster, files in the 15MB range run okay.
