I have mounted a 12V LED lamp on the printhead and the flickering can be intense. I dont think a Cap will help at all since thre are many amps flowing to bed and heater, and a cap would have to be XXXXXL size to stabilize the voltage sag. Instead, go for a 5V led (one led + resistor) and use one of those $1 switching 5V converters from ebay. They can cope with the unstable 12V and deliver a stablby Cesco1 - Mendel90
TY Ordered replacement. And, i remember a strange noise last time i inserted the rod, but i did never find any escaped balls. Edit: Mendel90 in actionby Cesco1 - Mendel90
Since the original Z axis coupling was always wobbling i did buy those: 7 days from china, new record. Mounting them (i did thread M6 halfway in to accomodate the spindle) i did realize one of the linear bearings was rattling. Upon inspection i did see some balls missing in one race. I guess this was the "tac-tac-tac" i was hearing during Z movements. Since the printer works fine i did never boby Cesco1 - Mendel90
Thanks for the answers. I will leave everything "as is". Seems to work nicely. I think the cracks are not due overtightening. I think the belt pull puts quite a torque around the z-axis, which makes the clamp crack if the clamps are not tigthened enough. Now glued in place it seems to hold up OK even with more belt tension than before. As soon as i change to ABS i will give it a try to print tby Cesco1 - Mendel90
2 cracks in the 2 front clamps here: First was right side, then left side. Did i tension the belt too much? Or maybe i did not tighten the clamps on the other side enough and the thing bent? I did dismount it and put in some CA glue and the machine is printing fine. Should i aim to replace the 2 parts?by Cesco1 - Mendel90
Instead of connecting the BT module to the serial port 0 with super fine soldering and a great possibility to fry that board like described here: I did connect the BT module to serial port 1 on the EXT connector (5V, Gnd, Rx1, Tx1) and i did change the firmware to listen on this port. Changes are in MarlinSerial.h und MarlinSerial.cpp. Attached patch is for nophead fork. Do a "#define SERIALPOby Cesco1 - General
