Reg. LED on fan aleways on or not I trust your decision, but my 2p Of experience say go for the simplest and most robust solution.by SlinBin - Ormerod
as long as you keep my thumps away from smd components im up for the challenge (self soldering). would wait and pay extra for ultrasonic transducer :-)by SlinBin - Ormerod
I would appreciate a fully populated board (if it is not getting to much work) and use this chance to thank you for all the work/suppot done.by SlinBin - Ormerod
mine did just that (after 1 week off printing), at first I checked the connections then checked the thermistor and took the wiring apart, but could not find any problems. put it back together and then I worked again. either TMDRS336 is right or it was pure luck on my side, properly both. been printing ever since....by SlinBin - Ormerod
My best practice so far is exactly the combination of what is suggested here I apply them in the following order (higher number has better quality outcome); Not relying in sliz3rTurn the part for best printing angleModel support in CAD softwareDesign the part (evt. with support) from scratch for the manufacturing process I still wish there where a good (cant get the existing of the part nicely)by SlinBin - Ormerod
Thank you ! Been printing for 2 days now with pronterface (after finishing building), had e few trouble with slow USB/printing and not wanting to take the SD out all the time (just realized that you can upload to SD from pronterface). So today I tried your new web-interface, it is absolutely fantastic (upload still verey very slow) but it is very convenient and my print quality is much better,by SlinBin - Ormerod
QuoteDave_Longdown >Even if the supplied SD card seem to work I would snap it in half and burn it That is a very, very good idea. However, try this: Get a good microSD card, and then use some super glue and Kapton tape to attach it to the supplied (bad) SD card so that it is now twice as long. Why? Because it makes it much easier to insert and remove the good SD card from the Ormerod! Obviousby SlinBin - Ormerod
interesting way you get the large filament roll to feed the extruder. why not just place it on the other side off the machine ? what material is the blue (pla/abs) ? compliments.by SlinBin - Ormerod
Polycaprolactones Absolutely fantastic. ps. I suppose you will now ask me to pour it into the printerby SlinBin - Ormerod
Naturally ! Here is a link of the remarkable handmade Z-nut-trap I used some nameless polymer with a low melting point (it can be moddeled by hand at a not to warm temperature, you just need to be fast) I then squeezed it in place to get the right positions of screews (stil hot/soft) drilled the holes up (also by hand) and put som bolts (3 pz) on threads, heated them with a lighter so i couldby SlinBin - Ormerod
Update ! I´ve got a new 8Gb SD card. Solved all my problems: z-probe is working, so X-axis is easily homing, (I´m not satisfied with the reading being arround 250 for the Z-axis but it is working and the printer can function like this, there is work in progress for better probing). Pronterface is working as should Webinterface is working (only in chrome and only if do not try with other browsersby SlinBin - Ormerod
Thank you to both of you. Will try when I can get hold of a new SD Good nightby SlinBin - Ormerod
Thanks a lot. Yes that solved the problem right away. But why ? What else is not read at startup ? What can I do ? Sorry to place all my problems on your shoulders, but you nailed it in a remarkable short and precise wayby SlinBin - Ormerod
I have a problem setting up my printer (commissioning) I can not home x nor Z I get 0 out of the Z-probe (using G31). For a short while I had a readout (app 500) just after flashing the firmware from 0.57 to 0.57a, and now nothing. I doublecheccked (trible and more) wiring it all appears to be ok, and is untouched from the small moment it worked. Any suggestions for troubleshooting ? Context: Oby SlinBin - Ormerod
