Dear DC42 THANK YOU ! For making these sensorbords (but not only), assisting me when I cant manage by my self etc etc. I am slow, very slow, but I finally got to install the Sensorboard (1. series) version 5 with all the bells and whistles. firstly I got it up and running with the differential IR sensor, besides working pretty good, somehow my environment is not good for the IR, so I got fantasby SlinBin - Ormerod
UPDATE: Sorry for the "hijacking" of this thread, my problem is NOT related to DC42s firmware or web-interface But related to bad plugs on the pins connecting my hotend wires on the duet board (very suprising considering that there are to for + and 2 for -, so both of one kind must have been pluged in but unconnected). Thank you for looking into my problem Sorry if I created confusion in the thrby SlinBin - Ormerod
Thank you for clarifying. How about an Arduino sketch to turn on the heater port (some initialising and a port number), and then i can turn it off by the PSU if it should work ?by SlinBin - Ormerod
REQUEST ! Can anybody guide me as how to tell the Duet to turn on the heater by direct control over USB via Arduino software (without using any onboard software/firmware) ? I would love to make this test to rule out problems with the board/wiring Kind regards Ps. maybe this is not the right thread for this question, sorryby SlinBin - Ormerod
Quotedc42 1. Can you confirm that in the Settings page, both reprap.htm and reprap.js are showing as version 0.95? Also that you copied all the web files over to the SD card into the appropriate directories, including the new bootstrap-slider js and css files? 2. If you do control-shift-J to get the Javascript console in Chrome, does it show any errors? 3. Does the extruder heat up if you send T1by SlinBin - Ormerod
Quotedc42 It very much sounds like a T0 vs. T1 or G10 P1 vs. G10 P0 issue. Please go to the Settings page in the web interface and confirm that it says you really are running 0.65j-dc42 and web interface 0.95. Any slic3r gcode files that you previously generated will need to be modified, to change T0 to T1 and to put this command before the G109 command that slic3r generates to set the extruderby SlinBin - Ormerod
Hmm, I must have overlooked something...... Running: Duet Firmware: 0.65j-dc42 with reprap.htm: 0.95 I can not control the extruder temp in the web interface, and neither can the Slic3r g-files (Bed control is ok) first I would think a wire got off, but I have double checked and did control it 5 min. before upgrading the firmware... Sending T1 and stuff like M104 S190 changes nothing. Please reby SlinBin - Ormerod
Dear DC42 Not the feedback you need, but I still ove it to you. I have had no time to install the board, and will not have for another month, sorry. Im still very happy for having the board (5), and even more so when reading the results on this thread. Thanksby SlinBin - Ormerod
Multiple small parts is working for me ;-) (on parts i could not print as singles)by SlinBin - Ormerod
Quoteonno Can't wait to get home and try it out. I keep wondering what will come after 'z'... æø and å, why do you ask ?by SlinBin - Ormerod
No need to hurry for mine, I will have no time to fit it this week. Thanks for keeping us updated.by SlinBin - Ormerod
My 2 cents: Give a little more length to the wires going to the hotend Are you printing at too high temperatures ? Belt on one axis could appear loose , cant tell if it is x or Y (alternatively z gears are not round and displacing z-rod)mecha My prints was something like this in the start, i dont even know what fixed it. I have made very few mechanical corrections (z gears and a all parts movingby SlinBin - Ormerod
For signaling you can use Light pipes/giudes (I can not say if the efficiency is to low for illumination), if any of the standard fit it is worth trying, making a custom not so (flexibles does exist) examples are, this: and this: Looking at ethe pictures of kit 5 (http://forums.reprap.org/read.php?340,310184,page=6) it appears the LED go out sideways, how it that working for illuminating the plby SlinBin - Ormerod
Quotejaro_p Yes, when one will do everything myself, so maybe it will work .. Did you have problems with the original build or while applying the mods ? Are the pictures just for information or are there some questioning intended ? The z-nut fixture looks great (I should get one of these also, even if I have no problems beside wear with the original) The Z-gears i have modded like yours and thatby SlinBin - Ormerod
Quotejaro_p That's a terrible thing, is an absolute crap, there is always something that does not work. Very expensive and stressful experience for € 700! From my experience it sure takes hard work, a calm mind and a bit of help from the forum to get the machine working. The first 2 you should be able to provide and for the third we are all here listening to you (it is remarkable but trust me, Iby SlinBin - Ormerod

I to print directly on glass First layer: bed:60 ,Head:210 (if anything I would lover this to 200 or 205) Other layers: bed:50 ,Head:190 I understand it is not advised to print directly on the glass but it is very convenient ;-) sometimes (once every second week) i wash the glass in sulfo (soapy water) and apply a thin layer of hairspray Some parts still attach to strongly (I never wait for theby SlinBin - Ormerod
QuoteDavek0974 QuoteSlinBin hmm, I'm late again Please let me know if/when there will be another batch. Enjoy you new parts ;-) No you're bang on time, I ordered extras as I intend to keep all my parts available for some time yet Dear Davek0974 Just to clearify; You may take that as a request on my part ;-) Thank you !by SlinBin - Ormerod

Just a warning regarding USB jumper I have a RS Ormerod when jumper installed to power the board of the PSU everything appeared to be working properly bt I would get occasional inconsistencies (in prints, interface behavior, among other things) I would never have made the conclusion that it was coursed by irregular power-source (but wiser men than I on this forum advised me), and now I am poweriby SlinBin - Ormerod
My 2 cent the duet is not getting a readout on the pin. Could be a loose connection on or off the board (are you using the right pin ?), before error-checking the board have you tried connecting the resistor directly to to Duet pins (as to eliminate problems in the wiring), if that still does not work, you could (if you know your way around arduino) change the temp pin in software to another pinby SlinBin - Ormerod
thanks for clarifying. that is what i have done, the "single wall"/"thin wall" confused me and made me wonder if there where more to it. in a sidenote; im amazed of the precision of this machine, my axis are all 90 deg. dimensions (length XYZ) are spot on (ore less than 0.05mm for 100mm thingys) and wall thickness was perfect until my 2end roll of filament, witch turned out to be 1.8mm and not 1.by SlinBin - Ormerod
Quoteormerod168 I think the drill is to print a single wall test and adjust the in Slic3r "extrusion multiplier" to that - afair mine is set at 0.79, default is 1.0 I used this one, you don't need to print it to full hight to measure of cause (and the print should be able to hold water over time if the print is perfect) Erik Please elaborate. Ive been looking at threads and are still a little coby SlinBin - Ormerod
Out of curiosity ! The motor in the lower right corner (attached picture) does not look like the standard X-motor, are you making some bigger mods here ?by SlinBin - Ormerod
Could it be that the newer firmware versions does home Z whenever you do bed leveling/compensation ?by SlinBin - Ormerod
Reg. test with no jumber on ju9. and feeding the Duet from a powered USB hub (5V not 3V). I have now been running for 5-6 hours without the earlier experienced interface inactivity/unresponsiveness. Even if this should work, it is the first of my "challenges" I do not appreciate as all the others could be cured by printing or designing parts, updating software or programming bits. but this is tby SlinBin - Ormerod
Hi Iamburny Thanks for the comment, will try with a dedicated 3V source tomorrow. Reg. multiple instances, yes i tried having the interface opened on 2 computers contemporary and had the feeling the problem occurred more frequently, I also tried to lover the updateinterval to 5000ms to take load f the duet but that did not avoid the problem. will report back reg. 3V source with no jumper (is itby SlinBin - Ormerod
This interface is really convenient for me, thanks for the great work. Working ok here but occasionally (every second hour) i get this message "Disconnected Page not being updated", and the web-interface kind of freezes Any ideas ?
