In free air the extrusion works (5ms) and it moved fast. While printing it moves very slow and i get tiny drops of filament. I thought it was an error in slicer maybe. but notby Fpex - Ormerod
eheheh, i have only a mk2. My other printers are more reliable but they had their "periods" in the past :-)by Fpex - Ormerod
Fully standard. As I said I managed to print PLA, ABS and XT without a problem on the extruder ... I had already all sort of cracks, burned bed, broken duet 0.6 ... and now this. I start to feel my ormerod is a cursed machine :-)by Fpex - Ormerod
I meant standard .... my iPad changed things as alwaysby Fpex - Ormerod
I ma using the starboard extruder but with all parts in ABS. I will check everything out again today and add amps. Just strange it happened. I will also check tube and nozzle, just to be sure the filament did not have something in it (but never had this with colorfabb XT)by Fpex - Ormerod
Lowest works on free air (5ms) and I have been trying to print with 220 to 255 with filaments the ormerod could easily print at 220-240. in config M906 X800 Y1000 Z800 E800 running from 12v directly without the converter. Till last night it worked like a beauty! Then noise after i tried to run the load filament macro twice with stuttering and ... now it extrudes very little when in printing.by Fpex - Ormerod
So was it a cable? I ask because I am having a similar problem. The motor moves bit very very slowly now and I just bought a new duet ... last thing I want is to see my duet broken already!by Fpex - Ormerod
I have been (finally) printing happily with my ormerod, but it was supposed not to last. This machine has been full of problems for me. An hate, hate, love relationship. Anyhow. the extruder motor all of a sudden started to make a strange rumour and to stutter. Since then it behaves as if it were underpowered and nothing works. If I extrude at lower setting (on panel2) is goes ok. If I put anythby Fpex - Ormerod
While remounting my ormerod, i got shocked and fused my fuse :-) Which one should i get to replace it? Thanks.by Fpex - Ormerod
Mmmm There must be a way to use spool movement and filament movement to detect a problem. Not sure we can point out what it is. But to know of a probe;em is already somethingby Fpex - Ormerod
I would use something like this, A element where the filament needs to go through and it is also used to check if it is stuck or notby Fpex - Ormerod
I would be in four for the spool sensor (with timeout) as more reliableby Fpex - Ormerod
Could be done is the filament were marked or by making a proper rotating filament spindle.by Fpex - Ormerod
ok thanks. I will need to find a unbar for mac then.by Fpex - Ormerod
the step file has only the bottom part.by Fpex - Ormerod
I am using it at max, because I still have to connect to the fan controlling unit. But I discovered slic3r was doing weird stuff, so I reinstalled all and reloaded the config file and ... all seems working better now. When I can properly case and wire the duet, i will try to use a better and lower cooling.by Fpex - Ormerod
I am not using cooling, but i still have curling corners. And it can get so bad that they crash against the bed level sensor and .... all dies.by Fpex - Ormerod
I am printing with the stock RRP head, I have no problem to get to attached, but I suffer from curly corners as the printer goes causing in the end the print to crash against the bed levelling sensor. I am printing at 240,245, 255, and next 260 (no cooling) ... but I start to doubt my problem is too high temp even if I am using the setting suggested by colorfabb.by Fpex - Ormerod
thanks! But is the rar a car or a STP?by Fpex - Ormerod
My ormerod2 works very well with PLA and ABS. So I decided to play with some other material. Anybody has setting for the colorfabb XT? I seem not to manage to find the proper settings here as the perimeters cool down very fast (and there is no cooling at all as for ABS) resulting in corners curling up. Any help is welcome. Thanksby Fpex - Ormerod
I can use step files, that would be greatby Fpex - Ormerod
Nice! Would you share the design in editable form??? I am starting to male mine, but yours is a better start point!!!by Fpex - Ormerod
I just saw a Felix Pro 1 and I was nicely surprised by a couple of features: a sensor that pause printing when the filament ends and the head tilting for dual heads. I was wondering if anybody here has ever made a sensor to pause the print when the filament ends on duet firmware. Could be nice!by Fpex - Ormerod
I have enough 5v to use, I was just considering to use it in my BigBox to derive power all from one supply and put the raspberry pi inside the box. I guess I will stick to having it outside with a separate 5v.by Fpex - Ormerod
1A is little indeed for a new one. Pityby Fpex - Ormerod
Since I am now running my ormerod on a duet 0.8.5 using the internal regulator, I am looking for uses for the old external board. Can i use it to run things like raspberry Pi or beagle bone boards? Thanksby Fpex - Ormerod
