Im willing to get whatever is the best option. I was looking at the counterweight pulley option as i dont think i meed alot of weight to assist the holding torque. I am also going to decrease the weight of the mounting plate as that imo might help significantly. Another problem is the slop present in chinese lmk12uu bearings so ill be upgrading the z axis to a vslot solution instead od the rodsby eviltoy - CoreXY Machines
Hi guys I recently completed a vulcanus max 40 and i have run into a smag it seems that when i then off the printer the bed falls. Is there anything i could do to keep the bed up after powering the printer off?by eviltoy - CoreXY Machines
You could be onto something. Maybe its backlash in the belts. Thats the only thing I did not really check. I think I should find better quality stiffer belts. It could also be flex in the printed parts as I used ABSby eviltoy - Printing
Not reqlly much i changed over to drv8825 on all but the z axis ill be getting one more driver this week to replace. I also switched to printed couplers and i have a semblance of some improvement. I also realigned the belts. My x axis is a bit tight but doesnt bind this fould be due to having 4 bearings in the x axis instead of 3. I have accurate movement across all axis. What layer height did yoby eviltoy - Printing
Well I removed springs and nada it wasnt thatby eviltoy - Printing
Nah no changes with the drivers ill be removing th springs tonightby eviltoy - Printing
QuoteMosfetN Could you make the photo with more light from the top of the cube and just more sharpened ? (to show the banding a lttle more). Will get you one this evening. Its very very lightby eviltoy - Printing
Im going to try the different driver on the extruder as if I can remember correctly I havent changed that yetby eviltoy - Printing
Ill post some pics later hut its not banding per say. The surfaces are much smoother now after the heater block upgrade and other drive gear. Also the bands dont correspond to the thread nor is it consistent.by eviltoy - Printing
Tried that it was tight at 280 degreesby eviltoy - Printing
looks like heavy over extrusion recalibrate the esteps on your extruderby eviltoy - Printing
Yup they are running voltages above .6 already. my issue came back and I am not sure why. I have logged a support ticket with e3d as I suspect its the titan extruder I have.by eviltoy - Printing
Chicken dinner new heaterblock thermistor and drivegear and perfect printsby eviltoy - Printing
Hmmm you know you might have a point. I noted that the power supply was dying. So I replaced it. Also I noted that the leadscrews I have doesnt have the reported diameter or pitch so I updated accordingly. Another thing I discovered was that I had the recalled drivegear on my titan extruder so that will be replaced. I think you might be onto something with the temps and extrusion because the moreby eviltoy - Printing
Why not makerslide for the x and y? To keep costs downby eviltoy - CoreXY Machines
Interesting update so this iteration will have less than half the amount of printed parts. Have you built yours as yet?by eviltoy - CoreXY Machines
Going to skip the first few points as I dont have the ir probe etc. What I can say is that everything is pid tuned and the temp graph is very stable not ever a variance of 1 full degree. The filament is quite consistent over the length of the spool variance of maybe .01 its esun green. Layer height is .2 which is good according the prusa calculator I am using TR8 Leadscrews so the thread playby eviltoy - Printing
I am running a4988 on all axis at the moment. They dont get too hot.by eviltoy - Printing
I am wondering if it is not the stepper motor creating this grief. Ill swap out the stepper driver and switch motors afterwards to confirmby eviltoy - Printing
Wait the bed does move though its like a prusa i3by eviltoy - Printing
No shakes at all the bed is not cantileveredby eviltoy - Printing
Nah no hissing or popping i pop it in the oven before printing.by eviltoy - Printing
Well i switched out drivers changed microstepping checked the axis again annnnnndddddd still the sameby eviltoy - Printing
