i've spent the last few hours or so setting up the latest beanshell... I can confirm the bug is present in the latest beanshell too. When the 'oozebane: early shutdown distance' is larger than the total extrude distance (from start to finish) oozebane causes the extruder to commence extruding at seemingly random place often outside the part in order to make up the distance it's 'supposed' to havby comwarrior - Skeinforge
I've found the cause, Oozebane early shutdown distance over 5mm causes the above to happen. Unfortunatly i can't update SF at this time because i'm using repg and the latest repg causes other issues.by comwarrior - Skeinforge
I've been putting up with this issue for a few weeks since i noticed it now and it's starting to become a problem especially when i do gears and pully. Below is a screen cap of a good example. I have no idea what is causing this. Can anyone give me any ideas, thanks.by comwarrior - Skeinforge
OK, their are two things that seem to be done automatically that i need to stop... one way or another... 1) Bridging mode ignores the number of extra shells and only does one, this causes shrinkage in those layers and pulls the outer shell in. 2) Some sort of 'solid file' happens intermittently through the part even though i'm using 100% fill. This also seems to use only one shell and causes thby comwarrior - Skeinforge
It may just be PLA, but i use a constant second shell to reduce shrinkage as well as making the walls stronger.by comwarrior - Skeinforge
i have literally just found the cause to this... under speed tab, 'add flow rate' was ticked... it changes M108 S to M108 R... IE Speed to Rate... This is not mentioned in the SF manual so, can someone please add it. Thanks edit: Correction, this completely removes the speed setting. but still, needs to be added to the manual.by comwarrior - Skeinforge
it is doing the same in repg26 with SF40...by comwarrior - Skeinforge
I've been battling with a swissing issue for the last two days. I've gone back to ye-old-faithfull repg25 and it was doing the same. And now i've just noticed that all the extruder speed settings are 'M108 Rxx' and they should be 'M108 Sxx' Can someone point me in the right direction for this one because as far as i'm aware, 'M108 R' is an invalid G-code and shouldn't have been programmed...by comwarrior - Skeinforge
eerm... mine print a single bead in 100mm lines 2mm high for each setting...by comwarrior - Skeinforge
I have done similar things, unfortunately all my calibration 'tools' are writen directly in gcode and not through SF or another interpreter program... If you give me your specifications then i can write you a small one so that you can see how it's done.by comwarrior - Skeinforge
Not a problem... Unfortunately I don't have a linux platform that has python or a GUI or I'd have a go at doing one for linux. I hope it'll come in handy for someone.by comwarrior - Skeinforge

A minus means it's going to put your extruder head THROUGH your print bed... It looks like the model is not centred... Is their a way to bring up skein layer for a file that has already been generated? Thanksby comwarrior - Skeinforge
I've turned commenting and stats on in skein. However, if skein encounters a 'problem' in an STL and makes a guess most of the time i don't see the message. Is their any way to get the stuff thats displayed in the log box at the bottom saved to a file? Thanksby comwarrior - Skeinforge
well, i guess i won't be moving to SFACT then... I have a stepper extruder and i use oozebane... and i use it for good reason. But anyway, the originator hasn't posted back... so one of us (or a combination of both) was right... lolby comwarrior - Skeinforge
Do you have oozebane enabled? if not, look it up and set it up. It also sounds like your bead width ratio is not setup correctly. So, you need to measure the bead with and you need to be accurate to less than 0.1mm, digital ruler (callipers etc) will work wonders. Then devid your bead width by your layer height and this is your ratio. Their is two points where you enter this value, first is inby comwarrior - Skeinforge

From what i've read python 3.2 64 is supposed to be multi-threaded... hence why i want to use it... other versions of skein when pointed at python 3.2 just completely blank it like i'd not told it to do anything anything... The only reference to TKinter i found on python told me to put an export statement into my TCL file... but were not using TCL in skein... So, like... EH????? My linux serverby comwarrior - Reprappers
hey ya. I introduced a friend in the states to 3d printing... now, he's sending me the mendel plastic parts, belts, and RAMPS 1.3 complete kit with optical end stops (when it arrives at his end) and yes he owed me a big favour. priced up remaining hardware at £100 off ebay including delivery. when i know the box is dispatched i'll head down to my hardware store. Good afternoon, my builds are taking hours (sometimes a day) to complete (not including actually printing something) and i don't understand quite why... So, i grabbed the latest repg25 and python 3.2 I pointed repg at python 3.2 and it asks for tkinter? sends me off to a downloads page for python only to be told tkinter is already in python3.2 or something like that. So, i'm confused. Has anyonby comwarrior - Reprappers
