I am trying to continue building my p3steel, that I started to build 1,5 years ago. I have assembled the frame and mounted the steppers for the xyz axis. Altough I have read up on the subject I still can't decide what extruder should I use. I have a original e3d 1,75mm hotend and a mk8 extruder gear. What's the best current extruder design that uses mk8 gear and that fits the e3d hotend?by siil - Prusa i3 and variants
Thanks for the tips. I researched some more and found the P3steel frame variant that can be laser cut from 3mm steel or stainless sheet material. I also found a firm in my home town that agreed to cut the frame for me at a reasonable cost. So thats settled. I also picked the plastic pieces and extruder. Sort of mix and match.
