Vanbot, you were spot on. Thank you SOOO much! Thanks everyone for your help, because you were here to help me figure it, and you never know who is going to have encountered that exact problem. I'm now able to print, and now I will try to help others get there too. Anyone here a voluntaryist/agorist/ancap who wants to see home manufacturing of all things, and I mean ALL things, brought to fruby benjarick - Reprappers
I'm going to try printing it in the morning so I don't wake housemates, but one odd thing I noticed is that the analyzer says that it's a 33.31 x 33.31 x 9.60 box, when I specifically downloaded the 20mm box that also shows up as precisely 2 cm on the bed grid rendered in Repetier. I did take out all jumpers and put them back in to make sure that they all had a tight connection, which they didby benjarick - Reprappers
The bed size is set for x200, y200 and the center is set for x100, y100. I have the jumpers installed precisely as prescribed by the manual, however, I will take them off and put them back on to ensure I'm getting full contact on each one.by benjarick - Reprappers
Thanks guys for responding. I am rather new to 3D printing so I appreciate any help I can get. I have pasted my configuration.h file below, in case that is helpful for checking the stepper values. Also, Mudjunkie, if you could tell me where the centering setting is found in Repetier, I can try that. #ifndef CONFIGURATION_H #define CONFIGURATION_H // This configurtion file contains the basby benjarick - Reprappers
I have the ebay Folger Tech Prusa i3 kit. It has been built very carefully and precisely to the instructions. Nothing is awry with any of the wiring. All manual controls work. I have now checked 7 times to make sure that my settings are perfectly aligned with the configuration manual found in the Google Drive link that is provided on the Folger Tech site for their Prusa i3 kit. I am spot-onby benjarick - Reprappers
I hope I can get mine to work. It just spazzes out in the front of the bed spitting filament but not moving. In like 2 minutes the Repetier Host says the print is all done when it should have taken well over an hour.by benjarick - Prusa i3 and variants
No, that's perfectly okay, and I've learned a lot by just looking into this. I do have Marlin, which is the file name of the set of G-code files that I uploaded to the printer. I downloaded these codes directly from FolgerTech and haven't adjusted anything on them. They seem to be set up perfectly for the printer in other aspects, so it would be odd to me if they were to have wacky speed settiby benjarick - Prusa i3 and variants
I'm going to sound really ignorant for a moment here, and ask what Marlin is. That I already don't know what it is might be a contributor to the problem I'm experiencing. Your recommendation for Cura is appreciated, Andrew, and I will try that out through this troubleshooting process. I'm so eager to get printing. I'm almost there.by benjarick - Prusa i3 and variants
I have an LCD screen and I can home X,Y and Z as well as manually control all motors and the hot-end and bed. Everything checked out with the configuration and all of my voltages on the motors are precisely tuned in to the X .350, Y .550, Z .350 and E .350. One thing I haven't tried yet is leaving the Arduino software open, but I didn't think it played a role in the actual printing. The extruby benjarick - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi, helpful people! I assembled a FolgerTech Prusa i3 that seems to be in check with the assembly and configuration instructions, and after having double and triple-checked the Slic3r and Repetier settings to be sure they match the prescribed values, I sliced a simple file from Thingiverse and had Slic3r show me the print moves as it was printing. As you may have gathered from the post title, tby benjarick - Prusa i3 and variants
