I've had my printer for bout 5 months and I've had some pretty consistent prints. I use it pretty often. Been using it a lot this week but tonight the hot end has decided to stop heating up. It tells me an accurate room temperature. Sometimes when I pre-heat the hot end, it will heat up but immediately stops working when I begin a print. Other times I cannot even pre-heat the hot end. Quotejdcarlet Hi everyone, not sure if this is still a relevant thread but I'm having issues with my folger tech 2020: The endstops don't work at all!!! I've been trying to get them to work for a couple of weeks now to no avail, I've tried messing with the configuration.h and quadruple checked the wiring, I've also emailed folger tech and they have responded but not given any real help as to whby Blackbird - Prusa i3 and variants
Unfortunately I had tried most of the fixes that were at my skill level and nothing seemed to work (including the one AuWiMo just posted). A lot of the help (which I do appreciate, by the way) was the same thing posted over and over, just explained better / worse by the next person. I'm happy to report my replacement RAMPS arrived yesterday and I was able to install it this morning. Movement aby Blackbird - Prusa i3 and variants
Sounds like the same issue I'm having. I anticipated jumping in to this and learning as I go along. Like I have with every other hobby I've ever had, especially since this is advertised as a beginners kit that's as simple as an erector set. I anticipated it being difficult but the build guides were a bit lacking on the software and troubleshooting side of things. I'm going to boot up an old laptoby Blackbird - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteSteveRoy So if you set Marlin like this for your endstops: const bool X_ENDSTOPS_INVERTING = true; const bool Y_ENDSTOPS_INVERTING = true; const bool Z_ENDSTOPS_INVERTING = true; compile upload etc, then remove all end stop wiring from your RAMPS and give it an M119 what do you get? So a total noob question here but... Does it matter how your jumpers are oriented? As long as they fit, right?by Blackbird - Prusa i3 and variants
Quoteblank64 So I have now finished the build, but am now having some problems trying it out with repetier: (I tried both the marlin included in the drive folder, and the one posted a few pages back) My y-axis motor doesn't seem to be able to turn the belt (it either barely turns, or skips the belt entirely while turning), I used one of the included belt tensioners so it's pretty tight. Quoterrowan327 QuoteBlackbird My X, Y and Z are colliding with my endstops but they keep moving. The led is triggering on the endstops. I'm using Repetier-Host. Is there a way to see if my endstops are functioning properly? I'm 100% new to any of this. Hi Blackbird, In repetier-host, click on the manual tab and where is shows G-Code. Thank you! I'm working on learning as much as I can. I've come a long way in the past 5 days or so but I, of course, have a long way to go. It seems the RAMPS board is damaged, as my endstops read TRIGGERED regardless of my configure.h settings or where they're plugged in. They are oriented as showin in the build manual and I hadn't done anything to the hardware when they apprently died. My x-axby Blackbird - Prusa i3 and variants

And now the z-axis endstop has stopped working. It kept dropping until it crashed into the print bed and it has knocked everything out of whack. EDIT My Y axis enstop has stopped working, too. I don't understand.by Blackbird - Prusa i3 and variants
Assembled my Folger 2020 i3 aluminum kit and I can't seem to get much to work. Y and Z axis are SOMETIMES moving fine now (more on that at the bottom), I've had the typical X axis issue just about everyone else has been having. It scoots along when I try to home it in Repetier-Host and bumps into the endstop but keeps scooting and won't move the other direction. In configuration.h I've changed:by Blackbird - Prusa i3 and variants
It was a problem with (I think) the 3d printed clip for the endstop. It was preventing the switch from triggering. I bent the metal piece on the endstop so it would mae better contact and the x-axis motor bumped it, and the switch activated like it should. Now it will move up and down correctly. I wasn't clear that the motors would only move in one direction until it has been homed. That helped aby Blackbird - Prusa i3 and variants
I just assembled my 2020 i3 aluminum kit, updated to the newest firmware and I'm using Repetier. I'm still following the calibration guide on the google drive. When I try to home the z-axis, it continues to move down. It hit the endstop but didn't activate the switch at first and pushed the extruder below the print bed. Now when I try to raise it in Repetier, the motor will wine and not move at aby Blackbird - Prusa i3 and variants
