I am sorry to say , the firmware version I have will not accept these files. Luckily I befriended a chap from Tronxy, who got there Engineer to do it for me, I have the auto level disabled and the Z limit switch working, the prints are coming out top notch. Thanks for your imput.by erniehatt - CoreXY Machines
thanks for the trouble you have taken, BUT!!! I have tried this and it does nothing, tells me nothing printed. M6046 ;sdcard access M8512 "currentconfig.gcode" ;save settings to fileby erniehatt - CoreXY Machines
Thank you my Friend. I must say you put a lot of work into that file, But I have a question, probably a stupid one in many an eye But how do I load this into tronxy, I tried one by printing it and it did just that, went through the motion of printing. OK yes a stupid question, just read it is not a flashable file. So where can I get one. aon switch off I see no message or signal. I mentioned abovby erniehatt - CoreXY Machines
Quotedlc60 Quotelenigma1 Quotedlc60 QuoteRecoil1980 Sorry I am just getting back around to responding. I eventually sent the printer back. I think the sensor was just bad, then the LCD screen went white and I was unable to use it at all. I spend the extra money and got an Ender 5 Plus. So far the new one is running, but there are still a few issues with it. No big. I figured it out. I haveby erniehatt - CoreXY Machines
Not to sure on the answer here, I upgraded to a 300 X 300 and could find nothing out there, so I bought an aluminium sheet of that size, only to discover that the actual heat bed turned out to be 330 X 330 so I had to do the conversion myself by fitting tabs to suit. Hope that helps. Ernieby erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Thanks for the input, I see your point, But I have already gone off of that idea, and am building a fixed gantry style with two Nema23 to drive the Z axis with led rods, and single drive for the X and Y axis also with lead rods.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
OK, had second thoughts on the drive system, and have elected to go with threaded rods, so now I have 5 nema23 steppers and 6500 driver modules, the big problem I have is my controller has only four axis, am I still able to double up on the zed axis, as we do with the printer, Thanksby erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
OK, have taken Dust's advise and gone with two Nema23 steppers and 10mm wide belts.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Thanks Dust had an idea that that would be the correct way to go. You say wider belts can you give me an idea on them. Thanks for the link, interesting, I will have a closer look at that.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi, I am building a CNC, in the style of an I3. What I need help with is the drive of the Y axis. I intend to use a belt drive, what I am puzzling with is whether to use a single belt or two. There is not a lot of weight involved, the bed is 380 X 280 X 5 mm aluminium, not really a lot more that a printer bed with base, heat bed, and glass. Any help on this will be highly appreciated. Thanksby erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
OOPs forgot to say what board I am going to use, it's a MKs Gen 1.4. I suppose I could just keep the spindle as a manual operated item..by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi I am convrting an old home built Printer to a CNC, the mechanics wiring etc are not a problem, What I am not sure of is where to connect the spindle to. Any help would be highly appreciated.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Clif, I recently had the same problem, just cut the keys off and you can reverse the plug, it works fineby erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi All, The Beast is finished and up and printing very nicely. I would like to thank all those who have been of great help, during the process. Thanks Guys, you are all very much appreciated. Ernieby erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Thanks to both of you for your feedback, much appreciated' Yes, a spare will not go astray, I may just do that.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Thanks, Here's a link to the PSUby erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
One thing I didn't mention here, is that it only interferes on certain channels not all. This sounds as if it a frequency thing,by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
thanks for taking the time to reply. As soon as the the Mosfet clicks in it halts the picture and sound, once the heat reaches it's temp it starts, as the temp drops and the Mosfet clicks in so it interferes with the TV.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
I am using a Mosfet unit to control the bed heating, but it is causing interference with the TV, is there any way I can stop this, maybe some sort of filter. moving the printer or TV is not an option.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Thanks for taking the time to reply. Yes Repetier seems to be working well.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Finally got it to print.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Thanks Obewan, yes I have found it in the config file, it all seems to be OK now, I have a couple of mechanical things left to do, today, then I can test it all out properly.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Dust, Have just loaded Repetier and all the axis and endstops are working. I still have one problem, and that is the heat bed not heating, it was with Marlin, so I have to look for a setting . I would like to thank you for your help and Patience.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
I did just download a version from github, and made those changes, but like every other time I just keep getting erorrs, which I do not know how to fix. I could try repetier maybe that will work.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Got the Z working OK travelling in the right directions and stopping correctly. The X homes OK and will travel in the correct direct but does not stop, and press to go in opposite direction and it will move all the way across and stop just inside the edge which is what it is supposed to do, only problem there is it is only set to move 10 mm. The Y and E0 have no movement.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Your probably right Dust, that is the big problem finding one that has not been changed. I have managed to get the stop ends to show open and triggered correctly,But, there's that big BUT again they are not stopping, this is driving crazy.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Thanks Dust, downloaded an run that, and XYZ stops showed that they are working on both min and max settings. Now need to find out why they are not operating on the printer. Firmware seems to be the answer I know it's a very ancient version of Marlin, but it is the only one I could get to load, most are versions altered by others for different printers, and my knowledge of software is very limiteby erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
Yes I did check, it has Motherboard 33, I tried entering the MKS_Gen_13 but it gave me an error something about it not being in boards.h, so it is still as the originalby erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
OK Dust, Have had some minimal success so far. I now have some motor movement. But no working of the endstops they are showing triggered still. The X axis goes to home position but does not stop then press to go in the opposite direction 10 mm it goes all the way across and stops at 300. The Y is not functioning at all.I will shift the plugs and drivers to see if that makes a difference. Strange,by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
One problem Dust, The version Of Marlin I am using does not have the use xmax plug feature The later versions I have tried give so many errors, this is the only one I have found that will upload.by erniehatt - Prusa i3 and variants
